I just received my acceptance letter for Fall 2006 and am overjoyed, I think. Also, obviously, scared and hesitant. I am looking to connect with someone who has notes, info, a syllabus, advice etc. for NURS 1921. My goal is to get ahead of things if possible. Especially given everything I have heard and read. I would be willing to meet at a Kinko's (or something like it) to get copies of any information you may have.
Thanks so much.

Tks,
Hi,
I attached a schedule of our last semester(for January and February only)
....PLAs and practice times are not included on the schedule. PLAs were usually on wednesday and you could practice skills pretty much on your own schedule.
Paris - I think the reviews and rationales helped for med surg. Especially for Fluid and Electrolytes which is very difficult and will haunt you all the way thru the end of the 4th sem. if you don't understand them.
Not sure when I'm taking the NCLEX. The school just sent all our paperwork to the board and then the board mails us something with a # on it to call and make an appt. They said wait at least a month of the thing to come from the board.
I agree with Rollie. Med-Surg reviews and rationales is what I mostly used to read before class and study after class for 2nd semester. I read the actual book for Respiratory and Cardiac, but the other chapters were well covered in R&R. The book is worth every penny!!! I wouldn't have traded mine for anything!

Hi there....I just got my letter on Friday!!! Got in and am very happy. I read about some people getting some study groups together for the Clarkston campus, count me in! I really like the group study thing. It helps to have a group work on study guides and so on especially for tests!

GPC told me the same thing about the NCLEX...that they were sending the paperwork, wait for the phone number to call...I didn't get my ATT until March (I graduated in Dec.). You need to contact Pearson Vue. The GA board of nursing will NOT send you anything until after you pay for the NCLEX. Go to http://www.vue.com/ register for an account, pay the NCLEX fee, then they will notify the board of nursing that you paid and the board of nursing will send your ATT. Then you go back to vue.com and schedule your NCLEX.
I did what GPC said...wait 4-6 weeks for the board of nursing to send the phone #...and it was wrong.
Hi everyone,I will be starting at the Clarkston campus this fall and would love to be included in any study groups that are getting together. I won't be quitting work until right before the semester begins, but after that I would love to get together. Please let me know. Thanks.
Ditto for me on the study groups!

Hey Rollie,
I'm going into my 2nd sem. & wanted to know if the med-surg reviews & rationales really helpful for lect exams? The semester is so short c so much to do & I can't seem to read all the supplements out there in addition to the req. texts. So, just wanted to find out which would be the best supp. for this short difficult semester.
Thanks
