I am a new nurse with 7 months of experience on a Subacute unit. Currently trying to find a permanent position on a transition unit, clinic, case coordinator, or office related position. Any tips on how to find a job in these fields or of places hiring? I do not enjoy bedside nursing as much as I used to.

Are there current job postings advertising for transition unit, clinic, case coordinator or office positions? If so, what are the qualifications and preferred years of experience? Are the positions under a union contract?

Hi there,
I'm in alberta as well. If you check indeed you will see such postings; for example crowfoot village family practice, case coordinator for home care co's like Paramed, specialty clinics such STI (Sheldon chumir), etc. good luck~

With only seven months sub acute experience, you are facing a lot of experienced competition. Within AHS and Covenant these are considered plum jobs. Much sought after. Minimum of five years acute care for a bed manager. Unless of course, you are an accommodation.
If it's office work, doctors tend to hire LPNs
