I am hearing a lot of rumors about Albany State's BSN not being accredited. I also heard that only Albany's hospital will hire grads from ASU. I am looking for BSN programs to apply for.

You can check the approval status of a school via the BON website- it should list it as approved or note if it's on probation.
As for accreditation, the two bodies that accredit nursing programs are ACEN and CCNE. You can check those websites to see if the program appears on the list of accredited programs for the state.

OP: It is ALWAYS better to check the facts for yourself rather than listen to 'them'.
Also: Are you an RN? If not, you cannot use it in your username.
I checked georgias board of nursing and ACEN. It's accredited. Thanks guys
