I have looked all over this site in hopes of finding others that are getting their packets ready and are applying to the Air Force this fall. I have not found any recent threads on this.
I am applying for an ER spot. I have been a RN for 7 years and work in a Level II trauma emergency center. I have my MSN-Administrative Leadership and TCRN. Is there anyone out there that is also getting their packets ready for October boards? My recruiter told me that because of COVID everything has been pushed back and that boards will meet in October this year. He also told me that I would be going to MEPS and doing my medical in the next 3 weeks.
I made it all day without bugging him! ?My recruiter just called, said no results yet. He didn’t sound hopeful for today as it’s almost 1600 here. He said he’ll keep checking though.
I didn’t really have much hope for today seeing how yesterday was Veterans Day and people were mostly off or not doing much. Friday always seemed more likely to me so they could get it out of the way before the weekend but that’s just my opinion. We’ll see what happens.
I just got a call from my recruiter giving me UNOFFICIAL good news!! He said he hopes it will officially come out this afternoon.
He also said they were stricter this year versus last year and was looking for “more quantified” applicants, whatever that means.

My recruiter says he received a rough draft list of who got accepted and that I made it.
Said they are just working on locations.
What’s a rough draft list? Like maybe it will change? But congratulations ?
