Hello all,
I have looked all over this site in hopes of finding others that are getting their packets ready and are applying to the Air Force this fall. I have not found any recent threads on this.
I am applying for an ER spot. I have been a RN for 7 years and work in a Level II trauma emergency center. I have my MSN-Administrative Leadership and TCRN. Is there anyone out there that is also getting their packets ready for October boards? My recruiter told me that because of COVID everything has been pushed back and that boards will meet in October this year. He also told me that I would be going to MEPS and doing my medical in the next 3 weeks.

AFPC doesn’t work weekends so nothing would come out until Monday.
Hey folks. Hadn't joined the party til now, but figured now's as fine a time as any. Applying for ED spot. Don't want to be the party pooper but also hate folks to feel like they're being strung along. I am not sure how the unofficial results work, or if not all the recruiters have access to such info (my current recruiter is new to the nurse corps so he may just not know or he prefers to play it safe and wait for official results), but he said that he was told the results posting was "delayed" and it could still be another week or two.
Personally, we went through this last year with the hubs who is also an AD AF nurse and his recruiter at the time never did give him a "release date" but had just said "we'll call you when we know" and it was seemingly about 6-7 weeks after the board met before we got the call. Either way, I'm super glad to see some folks are getting some news! Congrats to you!! As for me, looks like I'll just be over here "hurrying up and waiting" which I am no stranger to LOL. Good luck to all!!
Oh and to ChristianNurseBSN....how crazy they are just like "oh you now have a new recruiter" and never told you! I've had 4 recruiters through this process-which has only been since Feb-but they told me up front there would be a change (and then covid changed it even more) and they've been very good to keep me in the loop with all the changes. ? I hope they do a better job going forward for you!

I wasn’t given a release date by my recruiter. All he told me was end of November maybe early December, so it was a surprise when he called me to let me know. He didn’t say anything about them being delayed either so who knows. But he did say if the official results were released Friday afternoon he would call, (which he didn’t), he would call hopefully early this coming week with official results. It seems in years past the results were always delayed for whatever reason
Hopefully you’re recruiter is playing it safe or doesn’t really know like you said. Hoping you’ve hear something very soon! Either way good luck to you! I also applied for ED.

All the forums I read from years past when the hubs applied and all the nurses we know around here all said their results were "delayed" and most were in the 6-8 week post board review before they knew. A few were even longer than that! Congrats on the "unofficial" acceptance!

Ugh! This is not what I like to hear LOL. But I agree, much of what I found online at least is that results tend to be delayed. What gave me hope is that my recruiter told me last board they actually came out on time (which she DID say was unusual....) but that gave me too much hope that this round we would find out on time too. Good luck to all and hoping tomorrow is our day!
I was just told I had been assigned a different recruiter the week before the estimated boards release. My old one still works in the recruiting office at least right now. I texted my new recruiter Friday morning and he didn't respond so I emailed my old one because I was offered a new job and wanted to know if board results were in before accepting. He called and told me the unofficial results but he was hoping the official results would be out by Friday afternoon. So hopefully they are out Monday. I don't really trust these unofficial results.
I got a new recruiter as well that is supposed to pick up the next steps if I get selected. I was told they're switching up how they recruit - so the way I understood it is they have one person finding people, one starting the process, one helping out with the application submission, and one onboarding after acceptance (or something like this). Personally would prefer to stick with one recruiter throughout, but I'm assuming it's so they aren't trying to do all these things at once with various cohort applicants.
- Hoping we get good news tomorrow!

Sounds a lot like what happened to me! I also got a new recruiter, said they are doing a restructuring and it’s now a recruiting team. They are based out of MA.
Hey everyone, I also have Trevino as my recruiter. Not like it makes me feel any better about the process but at least I know I am not the only one that feels like this process moves at a snail's pace; I thought it was just me at first. Should hopefully be in the January boards if I can get MEPS out of the way soon.
