I finally got an assignment and OTS dates! Going to Langley AFB and in the 21-04 class! Sooo excited!

I am so sorry! My husband and kids have COVID right now, and there is no way they could get up at 0430 and carry on with a typical day. The fatigue is extreme! How miserable for you! Hopefully you’ll be feeling better soon.

No I didn’t. So frustrating. My new recruiter says to just sit and wait but I feel like that can’t be right. I assume they have to request a date or something. I spoke with him last week and he was going to ask if we can request an OTS class date. I connect with him again tomorrow.

Those of you who already have your class dates, do we go to the 8 week or 5 week OTS? I was sure it was the 5 week, but for some reason my recruiter thinks it’s the 8 week this year.

What’s the tentative assignment? I truly do not understand how they can not have given you orders yet. This is nuts.

The biggest thing is the distance between shelter and gas stations and it’s too cold to camp. And some stations run out of gas in the Winter. So if you run out of gas or have a flat you can’t fix, you’ll probably die in your car before someone finds you in the morning ?‍♀️

We shipped a car to Alaska from Ohio and it took about 3 weeks. When we shipped a car from Alaska to Florida it took 6 weeks! The problem is they go by land as far as Tacoma and the. Have to wait for the next ferry. So plan accordingly. And no. Do NOT drive through Canada in the Winter.

How did you find out your assignment and class date? A phone call or email? My recruiter made it sound like he isn’t involved in that piece at all. So how do we get notified?

I haven’t heard anything either but I did find out my scroll was delayed and JUST approved Friday. So hopefully this is my week.
