Hello all,
I have looked all over this site in hopes of finding others that are getting their packets ready and are applying to the Air Force this fall. I have not found any recent threads on this.
I am applying for an ER spot. I have been a RN for 7 years and work in a Level II trauma emergency center. I have my MSN-Administrative Leadership and TCRN. Is there anyone out there that is also getting their packets ready for October boards? My recruiter told me that because of COVID everything has been pushed back and that boards will meet in October this year. He also told me that I would be going to MEPS and doing my medical in the next 3 weeks.
Hey y'all!
I attempted to apply to the NTP last year but my recruiter failed to mention until halfway through the process that it was only for May graduates. I am a recent grad as of Dec 2019 and am applying for the October board as well. I started my career in February in the ICU but was told I'd have to apply as a clinical nurse since I don't have at least 2 years in my specialty. It has been a lengthy process to say the least, but I sent my final forms yesterday and my package is getting submitted this week! Good luck to everyone (:

I was under the impression that you only needed 6 months of specialty experience and 1 year of nursing to qualify. Good luck!
I had my chief nurse interview and I think it went well, so now it is just a waiting game.
I had the same problem with NTP program when I initially inquired about it back in June 2019 as I was due to graduate in December with my BSN but I was already working with my ADN so I will have one year next week so it worked out.
