Hey everyone. I'm applying for a critical care slot for FY 2018 and was wondering if there is anyone else going through the application process?

Specializes in ICU.

I applied for a fully qualified critical care slot. My recruiter contacted me on Tuesday and said they are still waiting for board results. Hopefully we find out soon!

Does anyone know when the next board will meet?? The last word that my recruiter told me was January but considering I missed the Nov boards because my packet was not ready I really don't know if what he says is true. I haven't had my physical or interview yet, recruiter said he should be able to schedule on Monday but we will see. Also is there anyone applying for an OR position??

YES YES! I'm in the exact same boat. I feel like this is taking forever. He said I will miss the February board because I'm waiting on some medical records and the next board is April. That would put me in COT in August. I hope that timing works out because it would give me time to get my oldest moved into her college dorm. I heard they need OR nurses bad. I'm so excited about the possibility.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had issues with him!! Well I have all my medical records so hopefully I won't have any hold ups. Yea I'm hoping that I can either get in the July or aug COT because that would allow me to finish this school year (I'm a school nurse) so that would work perfectly. We need to chat through email or Facebook. My email is [email protected]. Feel free to email me so we can chat about things :) so nice to have some people to talk too.

Not sure if you found out already. The board meets once a quarter so the next board is in February 2018.

For every 2 years of experience in the civilian world, it counts as 1 year of military service.

I applied also and my recruiter said you can use 3-5 letters. I don't know why they won't let you submit 5.

I've been reading this post and I'm also applying for a critical care slot. 2019 and my package is almost done. You never posted if you got in on Nov board. I hope you did and if so can I ask you some questions. If not I am sure you will get in the second time.
