  1. Yeah you're right, it won't hurt to try again.
  2. I was anxious to know if I would get selected but I am definitely not frustrated. I am already in the Air Force. In fact, I am a reservist on active duty orders. I just wanted to help out my fellow active duty officers and airmen because I heard nurses were needed on the active duty side. You would think that they would reach down and grab their own but obviously they don't. SMH. "It is what it is." It is not a loss for me.
  3. My Recruiter would like to submit my package again in July 2018. I'm thinking to myself, if the same board reviews my package, what would make them change their decision.
  4. I am currently an Air Force Reserve nurse (4 years), 14 years as a Paramedic, 7 years as a nurse, I have a CCRN, I am six months away from finishing my DNP, honor student, and I still was not selected. But yet if I get deployed, I can work along side Active Duty nurses. Heck, I don't think there is anything more to add to my resume. :)
  5. Pike01 and ETamakiI, keep your head up high. I haven't heard on my end yet. I am currently in the Air Force Reserve Nurse Corps and I am very anxious.
  6. Yeah, I understand. I believe we all have become anxious at some point in this process to active duty.
  7. Gamecock, The recruiter informed me that the board's priority was filling the Med-Surg slots. I'm willing to work where they need me. I'm flexible.
  8. I am in the Air Force Reserve Nurse Corps. The last I heard was that they increased the maximum age to 48.
  9. Interesting post guys and gals. I am waiting to hear back from the Air Force nursing board. I feel more excited after reading these posts. I have been a nurse for 7 years and I have my CCRN so I really hope I get selected. I applied for Med-Surg but being a mentor for new nurses doesn't discourage me.
  10. I applied for Med-Surg. However, there are multiple areas we can be assigned to as Clinical Nurses (46N3). That being said, we don't know where we will be assigned.
  11. Hello ETamakiI, I am fully qualified.
  12. What region are you two in? We may have the same recruiter.
  13. I applied for Med-Surg also. I initially applied for Mental Health but the recruiter stated that he was informed that there is a need for Med Surg nurses so I changed to Med Surg. How many years of nursing experience do you have?
  14. I haven't heard from the recruiter yet either.
