Yep, let's keep each other up to date, haven't heard from my from mine. I Though I'm not really expecting to hear anything for at least another a week and a half given the extension?

Just so you know, this is classic military..it truly is a "hurry up and wait" way of life. You won't know anything and you will just always need to be prepared for the inevitable. I've been a military spouse for quite a while and my husband has been in the service for 13 years. You aren't told anything until they feel it's the right time and they usually don't touch base with you while you wait. And this isn't just in regards to your recruiter experience - that's just the first taste of military life. This sort of anticipation and limbo will be your entire military career. If you are the kind of person who needs to know all the details and have things planned out ahead of time, you probably won't like the military. I was like that but have had to adjust because I'm married to it. Our family is currently waiting on these board results to see if we will be moving back to active duty nursing from reserves, so I understand the frustration in not knowing. Being in the military is really just having to find the positive in every situation, even waiting.

My husband has been in for 9 years, so when the recruiter called me to let me know of the delay I just laughed, I had anticipated end of October at the earliest. I know better.

Hello everyone I'm Jay, I'm applying for a FQ ER position. I got word from my recruiter yesterday that the board will be pushed back again pending the release of this years guidelines to rate each package. He could not give me a firm date but it is unlikely to have results by 1 Nov at this point. Sorry for the not so great news..

So I finally heard something (got a new recruiter and she seems to be on top of things, thank lord) and got an estimate of "mid-Nov", reason unknown.

Imma just live my best life until the AF decides to release results. The hurry up and wait is real.

I got an update from my recruiter on why we’re still waiting, his exact words “Selections have been made but not released yet. There just waiting in the government funding to pass so they cans validate how many people they can hire. ????????. “ Still no specific timeline on when that will be..

Ebnrn, can you ask your recruiter where he is getting this information? Does he have someone on the inside? My recruiter said they are notified via email about any changes or delays of the board and he has heard nothing. He also says he has not heard of any other delays and is expecting results to come out before Nov 1st. They did send out an email last year after selections had been made and there was another delay but only due to matching selectees with their bases. The funding should have already been decided before boards were held so that confuses me a bit... I’m only going off of what happened last year so things could be different.

Piggybacking off Jessica - My husband said that the budget is already decided last year as well as the rating system for this year's applicants, so those don't seem like likely reasons. He also hasn't been notified of any other delays.
