  2. I finally got the results and today.. and I was selected!! Future Usaf Critical Care RN!
  3. For those of you who got selected (I’m still waiting to here anything from my recruiter) Did you get your leave date as well?
  4. Did everyone get results today? I didn’t hear anything from my recruiter...
  5. I got an update from my recruiter on why we’re still waiting, his exact words “Selections have been made but not released yet. There just waiting in the government funding to pass so they cans validate how many people they can hire. ????????. “ Still no specific timeline on when that will be..
  6. I’m just wondering if anyone heard any news yesterday?! I did not, still waiting...
  7. @MasalaC I have had the same issues with my recruiter... I started in June 2018 with this process and had my whole application in by September 2018, but here I am still waiting to be accepted. My first recruiter just up and abandoned everyone, so while we thought for 3 months things were moving, nothing was being done with our applications. I have also sent the same forms to my recruiter 5 times and have been told that my application was being reviewed by several boards (Feb, April, July) and yet here I am finally officially applying for September board. I've had to constantly remind/ask my recruiter things, unfortunately that's how this process is for many. Maybe you are able to get another recruiter? I know here in New England/Europe there are 2 recruiters. If not, I know this process has been so frustrating, but please don't give up. You are so close, just keep being on top of things and texting/calling your recruiter until everything is done. We've both got this!!
  8. I have applied for critical care and clinical, anyone having a hard time with trying to prepare for PT test?
  9. So I got an update yesterday.. apparently all of the new grad RNs got pushed up to leave for the 15/22 October class dates.. so there are no more classes in 2019. Results will be out October 11th (probably later) and earliest we can now leave is January 14 2020
  10. Hello Everyone, I am a new graduate nurse in the New England area. I have several job options, both I would have to relocate for. I am just having the hardest time trying to decide. Wherever I go will be for about one year because I want to join the usaf and need one year of experience before. The field I want to start in would be critical care. Here are the choices: 1.) 8 bed ICU at a 100 bed facility hospital in my hometown in Maine. I was introduced to the staff and I truly feel that I would learn a lot there and would not just be a number. I am a big family person and my whole (20+ people) family would be living within 10 mins of me. I have been away from home for the past 4 years while in nursing school. So this would have the best of both worlds with being in critical care while spending quality time with my family. 2.) 80 bed ICU at a hospital in Orlando, Florida. This facility is 10x larger compared to the hospital in Maine. Orientation is 12 weeks for both jobs. I do love the Orlando area and am a huge Disney fan, so that would be a plus. I am worried about being away from family since when I join the military I know I will not see them as much. I currently reside in Boston, MA and will be moving in a few weeks. Just need to decide whether it will be to Maine or Florida.... Thank you everyone for all of your help! --Emily
