Hey guys, so here's my situation. I have taken A&P 1 already done, along with that all of the english, math, and psych courses. All i need left is Soc and A&P 2... ALSO chem 1 or microbio??? I asked my advisor what I should do but she doesnt suggest taking microbio or chem with A&P 2. Since i need to get a B or higher in the class. What class did you guys think was easier?? Im so confused. I don't know what to dooooo. :o

A&P is easier. I hated Micro...had to take it twice. Chemistry was a blast but that was because of the professor.

No one can tell you what you are capable of doing. You should have some idea of your own abilities and your willingness to study. It takes more then saying you want something, you have to actually work for it.

None of the classes you listed are easy. I took Micro with A&P 2 and got an A in both. I rarely slept, I studied ALL the time because I took Exams and quizzes almost every week if not every week.

I took them during a regular Semester with only ONE other class so I could spend all of my time concentrating on those two. Others I know can manage to take more classes and pull As in all of them. However, there are those who will only take one at a time. I did what worked for me and you need to do what will work for you. Good luck.

How did you do in A&P I? I found A&P II to be about on par w/ A&P I, maybe a little easier (though I think I might have found it easier because I found the info more interesting). So if you did well in it then I think you'd be okay to take A&P II with chem. But if you struggled then just focus on A&P II (and sociology if you're taking that, too). Good luck!

I loved micro...got a B in it...hated A&P...took the first one 4 times before I could actually pass it with a C...I thought the second half was much easier and passed it the first time with a C...hey I didn't care...all I needed was a C and I was lucky to get it...LOL....I took chemistry at my old school and got an A in it...I did not find it that difficult, but I know lots of people in my class had a really hard time with it...I did not find sociology that hard either...just a lot of reading and memorizing...I took it with Psych and got em confused at times...only you know what you are capable of handling...I know people who took micro and third semester of nursing classes together...so it can be done...good luck!!!

I took Chem and Micro in the same semester and earned an A in each but I'm glad I didn't take either at the same time as A&PII.

I had to take chem before I could take A&P(it was a prereq to A&P). Then I took A&P I, then I was taking micro and A&P II along with pharmacology(and worked at a daycare at night and have a 3 year old). I ended up dropping A&P II and took it last semester. A&P I is harder than A&P II. Don't take too many classes, take it from me. I was in a rush to get everything done and overloaded myself. Only you know your boundaries. Stay within them. Good luck with everything.

It's pretty confusing figuring out the order in which to take everything. :o

I took A&P I and II, then micro, then chemisty--none in the same semester. I loved A&P and Micro but HATED chemistry--partly because of the instructor but I also think I'm chemistry-challenged. :uhoh3: If you've taken chemistry in high school (which I hadn't) you may know from that whether it's a subject you're comfortable with. All of the classes required lots of time. I got A's in everything but chemistry, but I really worked for it.

Whatever you decide, just stick with it and remember that it'll get better!

I would take the chem first because from what I remeber about micro it used a few of the chem principles!

I'm currently taking A&P I and Micro in an acelerated summer session. It is hard and I have two kids. I study everyday. This is what I wanted and nothing worth something is easy. I'm not a dumb person but this is my second go round with A&P. I overloaded myself this Spring with 3 other classes as well. I had an "A" and two B's in the others and failed A&P because I was so frustrated and stopped going to class because I waited too late to withdraw. I'm usually great under pressure and excel but I overextended myself. I'm actuall enjoying Micro when I thought I'd dread it and A&P is a little easier since I know what I have to do and I have a better instructor. Some may disagree, but a great instructor makes a difference in any course.

Micro is great, A&P is a lot harder, and well, Chem just plain SUCKS!

I also was told not to take A&P II and Micro together. I did it anyway and did make A's in both classes but not without much effort. It is possible but will take effort and time devoted to both courses. Best of luck to you in whatever you decide!!!
