Ages of male nursing students?

Of the 23 other students comprising the group that I entered nursing school with, three of them are men. The class that is graduating at the end of next week I believe has 1 male student, and as far as I know the class immediately behind mine has 1 as well. This is about 60 students (some classes have had students drop), with 6 of them being males; that's only 1 in 10.

So we know that male nurses are few and far between, but how old are we?

The 1 student in the class graduating next week is 28.

The 1 student in the class that entered the semester after mine is at least 30 (a second career-er I believe).

Of the 4 in my class, 2 are about 45, 1 is 40, and then there is me...21.

How old are you guys? How old when you started school?

I was 25 when i started my nursing school in India completed on 29 came to USA took my Nclex RN exams and passed this dec 2011 but still searching a job......so i think if u r 21 yrs and just started ur school .... very well u can do it......

I was 18 when I graduated from B.S.N. another year took me to passed my local board and become an R.N. last Dec 27,2012 I passed my NCLEX RN exam. I'm 40 now and hold 3. R.N license in 3 continent in my name. I feel good and I still have a long way to my beloved career won't swap it for any other job

Im 25, there are 7 other guys with me in my year and about 120 girls.

28 years of age. Passed the NCLEX 2 days ago. How sweet it is!

I am in the second semester of my nursing program and I am 33. I will be 34 when I graduate. We started off with 8 men with 1 of those dropping out after the first 2 weeks. He was about my age, maybe a couple of years older. I am the second oldest of the remaining men. We have one guy who is in his early to mid forties. The rest, besides me, are in their early twenties.

There are usually about three guys in my classes. All of us are in our twenties. I'm 21

56 now. 57 when i start the accelerated BSN program in may, 58 when i graduate on may 2013.

i have become used to being the oldest and one of few, it not only, male in my pre-req classes.

looking forward to a new career at an advanced age, but going back to school and getting accepted into nursing school have made me feel a lot younger.

I am a first semester ADN. I am 29 yr old.

I just got my acceptance letter from the RN program of choice yesterday. When I start in the fall, I'll be 46.This is a second career for me (was a software developer previously). I eased in to health care by working as an EMT and in a hospital ER for the past couple years. I'm thrilled beyond words to be starting nursing school soon. :)
