  1. Update: Well I will have my last clinical day Tuesday the 26th then practicum which is 7 shifts over about 3 and 1/2 weeks. Then get pinned in August. It has been quite a ride to say the least.
  2. I may have already chimed in on this but it has been so long I can't remember....I am 48, 2 semesters to go.
  3. Tough program (AS Nursing RN) but I'm doing ok. How bout you.
  4. I am a 47 year old nursing student weeks away from the 1/2 point of my program.
  5. We were told that it is for accreditation purposes. I have no reason to believe that isn't true. You do not want to go to a school that is not Nationally accredited.
  6. Just got the email yesterday. I will be nearly 50 when I graduate not quite an old man but getting there. Still I am excited as can be. In the mean time I am finishing up my AA so I can continue on and get a Bachelors (only 5 classes left).
  7. Taking A&P 1, Developmental Psy, and Essential nutrition over the summer session.
  8. I am 45 and went back to school in 2000 for IT, right in the middle of my education the .coms fell, 911 hit and I had major surgery. I finished but never did land a job (did some consulting). I went to school full time, had a family, coached a youth soccer team 35 weeks a year and managed a 3.75 gpa. It can be done, but it is hard. Now I have decided to go back to school again! I will be taking A&P1, Dev Psy and Ess. Nutrition over the summer session then hopefully A&P 2 and Micro. bio. during the fall to finish my pre-reqs.
