In less than 24 hours I am off Interstate to attend my FINAL Workshop.
ALL of my theory is complete and passed with excellent results.:smiley_aa
Once Workshop is complete, I have one last Clinical Placement and then all done.
Yeah!!!!!!!:yelclap:
I will be the grand old age of barely 36.
What makes me feel old is I have been in Nursing, I started in Aged Care, 22 years ago! When I was just 14 years old. Now that makes me feel very old.:chair:
Another woman in my group is now 56+ years old and just finishing her Nursing.
I will graduate May 2010 I will be 49 years old. I believe better late then never. I do have one degree but could not futher my education due to falling in love and having 10 children. Needless to say I had a few other things on my mind at the time. Recently I just wanted to be able to finish and not have to say should've, could've what would have happen if had've? There is alot of us out there you are never alone.:balloons:
After 15 years as a CNA (off and on), I will be 40 when I graduate with my BSN - RN (fingers crossed!). Or, I will be 39 if I choose to go with the AD - RN. But, I won't even start the AD program until summer '09. I've been accepted into the AD program, but there was a 2&1/2 years in Jan. '07! Now, I'm on track to get into the nursing school at the university for my BS-N in one more semester. I started out in 1989 as a CNA working in nursing homes. At nineteen, I had no idea that I wanted to be a nurse!
