TODAY MADE 48 HOURS SINCE I TOOK MY NCLEX RN. NERVOUS THIS MORNING BECAUSE I BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD SO MANY TIMES JUST DIDNT KNOW HOW I WAS GOING TO PREPARE MYSELF IF I HAD FAILED AGAIN. I WAS PLANNING TO GET MY RESULTS ONLINE BUT MY PASSWORD AND USERNAME WAS NOT WORKING. SO I PRAYED AND TURNED OFF THE TV TO CALLED IN THE RESULTS AND I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM NOW A RN!!!! MY STORY AND JOURNEY HAS BEEN LONG I GRADUATED IN 2006 AND MY BSN PROGRAM WENT THREW ALOT OF CHANGES BUT I STUCK IT OUT. I CAN FINALLY SAY THAT I AM I WORKED DAMNED HARD FOR IT. I HAVE SO MUCH TRIES OF JOY AND I AM GREATFULLY FOR EVER :banghead:I CAME ACROSS TO GET TO WHERE I AM TODAY. THERE IS NO ONE I COULD HAVE MADE IT WITH OUT GOD HE IS MY ALL. JUST KNOWING THAT MY CONFIDENCE CAME FROM BEING ON ALLNURSES BECAUSE OF THE SUPPORT AND ADVICE. I WANNA SAY THANK YOU TO ALL! IF ANYONE HAS ANY QUESTIONS I WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP! BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE TAKING THIS TEST AND MOST OF ALL TO EVERYONE GETTING THEIR NURSING CAREER!!!! EVERYTIME I TOOK THE NCLEX I GOT 265 QUESTIONS BUT THIS LAST TIME I GOT 75 QUESTIONS SO IT CAN BE DONE!!!!!!!!!
CONGRATS to you!!! You deserve it!! I am kind of in the same boat as you were in. I graduated in 06 from my PN program. I have taken the NCLEX PN 3 times already. I haven't taken it in over a year b/c I felt discouraged. Now I am going to take it again. I am studying in hopes to be able to post a post just like this. Thanks for sharing!!! It just gives me more hope and motivation to not give up. I know it can be done!!! Congrats again to you!! You DID IT!!!!! So much to be proud of!!! Can't wait until I am the one saying I passed!!! :)
First I want to say: Congratulations to you!!! you deserve it very much...I know your pain I'm about to go 3rd round. Second let me say you are blessed because your have failed 5X. Yes, it sounds funny right? But failure will make you a much stronger, empowered and resilient nurse. Now when you are in the room taking care of that crazy patient he can trow 5 things at you but you know how to handle because you been through a 5x hell before. After all this emotional, financial scary ride they put us through the only advantage is that it makes you a stronger nurse. Why some people have to go through this and others don't beats me. It has nothing to do with how smart, capable and responsible you are as many multiple takers end up becoming excellent nurses and professionals.
Way to go.Where there is a will there is a way! CONGRATULATIONS!

You are so right! Thanks so much! You can do it just encourage yourself and focus. You can do it! wish you all the best.
I have taken it 3 times and failed all 3. I am preparing to take it the 4th time here in a month or so. Is there anything that you can suggest to help me study or give me any advice. I am always open to suggestions!! I graduated in May of 2008 and I just feel like I dont' remember as much as I knew in school. I am worried that I am never going to know enough to pass. Is there anything that you can think of that would help? Please let me know!! And congrats on passing!! That is awesome!!:D
Confidence means everything when it comes to this test. Let go of your failures and stay positive. Focus on your weak areas. Do a through review over your content so that you feel confident more. :wink2: I did every possible review out their but it what you make of it. I think do questions from everywhere is helpful so that you can know how to answer, but have one good solid review source is great. I used excram towards the end because its set up like nclex to help me feel familiar with questions style, use kaplan and mosby for hard questions, lippincott as well. I think you have what it takes just trust in yourself and give it your all. I wish you all the best!
!
congratulations! i wish i could be in your shoes right now.....i pray i someday i will get that feeling of actually passing.... i will be taking my for the second time in three weeks time i am as nervous as hell but with faith i will make it..... please pass down any tips on studying i am doing the exam cram and saunders i did kaplan before and failed.... thanks
Thanks so much! You can do this! just focus on your weak areas, and really do questions. Stay confident and believe in yourself. I know you have the material just use it and really look over infection control, delegation and priorization, and drugs and labs values.:wink2::wink2: wish you all the best
:heartbeat
:heartbeatIt was my confidence that i had to improve on for the most part. Believe in myself and get over my past failures. This time I did nclex 3500 and nclex 4000 every day 75-100 a day going over every rationals. I took rutgers review class and just did questions for two months. Then after i master my review content and answering questions most part. I got the hurst review along with saunders and went over my weak areas just reinforce for a month. Then the last two months I started kaplan stragety to help with test taking tips and along with what i all every knew. I did kaplan questions, mosby, and lippincott to help build my confidence with answering questions lil harder then, for two weeks straight on time i wasnt doing questions with those programs, i worked on delegation and priorization by lacharity because that was my biggest weak area i did the whole book and then the areas i had problems went threw with saunders and my review material and until i understood. By this time i was doing 150 questions a day with no problem but i was doing one set in the morinng and then another 120 at night. Then the last three weeks i study labs, priorization and delegation, infection control every day. I stop all the questions from all those programs and i went out and brought excram and follow the program all the way threw but i didnt do the last pass three exam. I did about six stimulated exams up to the day before my test. I really pushed myself honestly i didnt work at all. My parents helped me as much as possible and prayed every night and just trust in god for everything. This was my full time job and now that its done i am bored out of my mine.:wink2:
Wow! It definitely paid off! Congratulations!
Hope I pass too this 2nd time I'm taking the NCLEX-RN.
i just too my 2nd time and I found uot I fail @75 Q in my 2nd time.I feel so dump and sad but my life have to move on because my dream waiting for me.I have to start it over again. Thanks
hey hang in there you can do it! After your grieving just stay positve and confident and just block everything out and focus.
May i suggest something. It is simple!
Let go of your fears. When I am nervous and anxious, I cannot even think straight.
When i sat for my test, i did not have the finances to go to Kaplan or other prep. courses. So I studied on my own: notes and Mosby. I used to go over all the 4 choices and understand the rationale for the right question.
My friends in N.School used to worry and fret. I always used to sit, relax and have a good breakfast. After all my brain cells needed energy to help me think. So i fueled my big head.
But Most important reason i breezed through those tests was my Faith with a big F.
I depended on God and always prayed a simple prayer: Give me the wisdom; guide me and lead me.
God always answer prayers. He will answers yours!!
Good Luck with your future endeavors!
