  1. Ruach Ha-kodesh, Thanks so much!! I still feel like I am on cloud nine from passing boards. I am so glad I have that behind me... now my next step is the job thing. Thanks for the encouragement!! I too agree that I will probably be around people who are willing to help. I think it's just the whole lack of confidence thing that's bothering me. Which... starting now I am throwing the lack of out the door. I can do this and will do this!! :) Thanks so much for the advice for the interview!! Helps calm my nerves to know that I have people rooting for me!! Thanks again!! :)
  2. Thanks, nunnurse1! You are right!! I need to show confidence and stop doubting myself b/c that just makes it harder on me when I doubt myself. I think that's the biggest problem with me. I lack the confidence. I wish I didn't. I am going to put an end to that right now!! Thanks a lot!! :) I'll keep you guys posted!
  3. Thanks so much jailhouserock_lpn_08! I guess I feel even more nervous b/c I graduated school in 06 and haven't had any more experience since then. Now that I passed I really want to jump into it. One thing I am scared about is people thinking I am stupid or thinking I am not fit for the job. So Thanks so much for this encouragement!! It means a lot to hear positive things during such a nerve racking time. Everyone has to start somewhere right?!
  4. [color=gray]okay, here is a little history of my situation. i graduated lpn school in may of 2006. i took my state boards a couple of times and failed. so i took a long break. i recently decided to go back and take my boards again. oct 9, 2009 and i passed!! so i am so glad to say that i am a lpn as of 10-09-09. now i am looking for an lpn job in an outpatient clinic. i am really nervous about it b/c i have been out of school since 06. also i am nervous about my interview. do you guys have any advice? i mean i'm scared that i have forgotten things or what if i don't know everything about everything i need to know??? i am just too scared and nervous but, i really want to pursue my nursing dream even more then ever now b/c i just recently passed my boards. what do you guys think? any advice/encouragement would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks in advance! :heartbeat
  5. You got this!! You will be a nurse tomorrow!!!!! :) Best of Luck to you!
  6. Well... I say don't ever give up!!! I graduated in 06 and it took my 4th try to pass to be a PN. I just took it 10-09-09. I found out yesterday from quick results that I passed!!! The first time I took the NCLEX PN was right after school. I had a lot of life changes. I failed.. I was talked into taking it again... and I failed. The third time I failed too. So... was going to just give up. Deep in my heart I knew better then to just give up so I tried it again. 2 years later which was this last Friday and I am so glad I did b/c I passed!!!! So do not ever give up!!!! I studied from... July until Oct. I used Saunders NCLEX PN 4th edition. I also used Kaplan's Q-Bank for PN. It's basically just practice questions and a book for 129.00. It will give you your score on well your doing through out the course. I probably did 3000 plus questions between Saunders cd and book and Kaplan's Q-Bank questions. I studied for about and hour to an hour in a half a night. I also told myself I was going to be a nurse on 10-09-09. I made and index card and taped it on my mirror in my bathroom. The index card had the date I was taking my test, the time, my name with LPN behind it and a big fat YES!!!! I looked at if everyday. Now I am still floating on cloud nine!!!! I would suggest Kaplan's Q-bank for PN and Saunders.
  7. Thanks everyone!!! I am soooo excited!!! :) I can't wait to get my official results in the mail now!!!
  8. SATA means select all that apply :)
  9. Wanted to share great news!!! I found out this morning that I passed my NCLEX PN! :)
  10. I just wanted to share some great news!! I passed my NCLEX-PN! I found out this morning. I got my unofficial results this morning!!! I am beyond excited. This is the best day!! I graduated Nursing school in 2006. This was my fourth time of taking this test. Thanks to the great lord above and this wonderful website for all the great tips mnemonics. I did it!!! I feel so blessed right now!! :) I went in that morning. I took a break went to the bathroom. I was doing jumping jacks, stretches, deep breathing, just jogging in place in the bathroom to get my heart rate up so that I could focus more b/c I had prepared myself to take 205 questions. Thank goodness no one walked in while I was doing that... ha ha I went back in finished at 178 questions I believe. I left Pearson Vue in tears... my emotions were running high. I am cloud nine right now!!! I wish everyone who is taking this test best of luck!!! Please do not get discouraged!!! Hold your head up and tackle it!!! I would take it a million times just to pass to feel the way I feel right now. Rather then take it not pass and give up. NEVER GIVE UP!!! TRUST IN THE LORD!!!!! HE IS ALMIGHTY!! :) :heartbeat:redbeathe:heartbeat:redbeathe:heartbeat:redbeathe:loveya::redpinkhe:redpinkhe:redpinkhe
