ADN ONLINE

I'm and LPN and looking to complete my Associates degree for my Rn Online. That way I can start working as and RN and then continue on to achieve my BSN. Can anyone recommend any good programs other then excelsior.

    If you're looking for a 100% online program you won't find any because there are none.

    If you are looking for a 100% online program, you won't find one that is accepted by state BONs. A clinical component will be required, although it is possible that you will be able to complete the classroom portion online. Start by looking at your state's list of approved nursing programs (should be available on the BON website) and then start investigating the programs via their websites.

    Basically, your two main options are Excelsior College (ASN) and Indiana State University (BSN). Both programs entail a clinical practicum component.

    Make sure you especially concentrate on the BON list of your choice that that includes the for-profits.

    Well, you could check community colleges. My community college always offered 1 lecture portion online but they still had clinical components like the regular on campus students. I did a hybrid where some of them I did online and some I did on campus. It was okay. We still had to take tests on campus but they gave us a 3 day window to schedule the tests. We also had to participate with on campus stuff they made everyone do like sim labs and stuff.

    There is Indiana State University's LPN to BSN program.

    Also, keep in mind that if the clinicals are not traditional, then you may run into issues if you ever have to move states.

    They have other locations such as Naples and Fort Lauderdale.

    Great program, You do classes online and go to Florida once a Month for clinicals.
