Im actually enjoying my LAbor and Delivery rotations, even as a guy. It really has erased the stigma of the rotation that I heard about! I saw two lady partsl births anda c-section. Pretty awesome day. Plus I got to see a CRNA student, and their preceptor in action and multiple CNM's. Glad I got to see APN's in action.

Congrats!! How exciting! :) I'm trying to get accepted :D

I'm still waiting for acceptance. How was the first year?

I just got my reading assignment and syllabus for fall. Wow!! It's making fundamentals look like a walk in the park. There are tons of case studies, papers, extra assignments, projects etc.

It's cardiac, resp, GI, endocrine, psych 2 and bioterrorism. We have observation days in a GI/endoscopy dept., cath lab, AA meeting, and dialysis center. Our careplans get smaller but I would rather do them than case studies.

It was good but very fast paced!!! I'm in an excellent ADN program. 1st semester is the basics and clinical at a Long Term Care Facility. 2nd semester is heavy on Maternity lecture content and clinical is at a hospital. There also was a very short maternity rotation. Good luck!!!:)
