ADN-BSN paper

So, I'm doing my online BSN, writing my very first paper of the program. I'm a little rusty :)My paper wants me to describe a patient care situation in which I describe how nursing care or approaches to decision making may differ based on education prep (BSN vs ADN) I just need some brainstorming ideas! I am at a total block. My paper is finished, except for this requirement. I'm an ADN-it's not easy to think BSN yet :)Thanks in advance

Here is the thing that bothers me.....while I KNOW that some ADN/ASN programs have a less than desired curriculum....MANY ADN/ASN programs have these requirements. The blanket statements about what the ADN/ASN programs lack, and why they are inferior, drives me CRAZY...for it isn't necessarily true.

So it's been a few months since I posted-thanks for all the input. I honestly HATE school though I have a 4.0, and have found my dream job that doesn't require my bsn..... Now you know what I'm considering! :-)

You can refer to your own ADN program for comparison.

Did you have a course in management and delegation? Many BSN programs do. In what sort of situation would some experience and theory in team management and delegation be useful? Working with other nurses, levels of scope, including physicians?

Did you have prereqs in sociology, anthropology, or economics? Many BSN programs do. How might insights from one or more of those have come in handy in a challenging patient/family situation? Or in a community health situation-- not just working in a public health department, but in your own community?

Did you have coursework in evaluating research to be able to discern whether a study was well-designed, well-executed, and its findings and conclusions appropriately reported? Many BSN programs do. How might this knowledge be useful when a new protocol is proposed, or when "We've always done it this way, it's just fine," is the answer to someone who asks "Why?"?
