Some users are waiting to hear back from Queens and speculating on the admissions process, while others are sharing information about Facebook groups for specific programs at different universities.
Hello!
I am currently a fourth year student in Ontario, and I decided to apply to a few accelerated nursing programs for next Fall. I'm hoping this can be a space to share where people have applied, when they receive acceptances, chat about the process/questions, etc. I've seen previous threads and think it would be nice to have one of our own!
I have applied to
Queens
Mac
York
UofT
Have a Happy New Years!

Sorry just anxious haha, My stats are a 3.9 GPA for last 5.0 credits, I have work experiences from co-ops, and I volunteer at the hospital and food bank.
Yeah, good question. I have my undergrad completed already with an 85% average in the last 5.0 credits (not sure what that is out of 4.0 because my university does percentages). I have a few publications, lots of volunteer experience, and have completed several projects with many non-profit organizations during my undergrad. Did you apply in October, November or December? I applied very early and I was under the impression that they look at the applications as they come in (I.e., first come first serve). Very interesting but congrats to them nonetheless!

UofT says they release offers on a "rolling basis" so I don't think they stick to a strict schedule. I've seen on the UofT Reddit that for March 2022 and March 2023, offers seemed to go out once a week. But since this year they're sending offers out so early, I'm not sure if they'll change the interval between rounds of offers as well 😕

I finished applying January 20th. I also completed my undergrad two years ago. Yeah I'm just curious how applications are processed. Fingers crossed. Your background looks amazing as well! Good luck!

I'm currently in my last term of Biology at the University of Waterloo. I originally was in the co-op program which introduced me to working in a clinical setting but I switched into the regular stream so I could graduate with this biology degree (a little bit of sunk-cost fallacy LOL) and apply to accelerated nursing earlier.
peaceelise said:Hi guys, for those of you that received an offer: are you still completing pre-requisite courses?
I'm finishing 2 pre-reqs this semester and upgrade my grade for another pre-req. I contacted UofT and they said they're able to give conditional offers to applicants who are in the process of completing their pre-reqs by June 2024.
I just wanted to ask if there's conditional offers this round!
hey! im currently completing my last 0.5 credits of human physiology. they said in my acceptance that the admission stands "On condition that you successfully complete the following course(s) you are currently registered in: 0.5 credit in human physiology". Aside from that, the other conditions are that we can't have any mark lower than a 60% (C-) and have to have a final GPA above a B+.
I'm currently in my final year of biochemistry at McMaster :))

The offer came through my student centre and OUAC first. I got an email a few hours later. My pre-reqs are all complete, I am in my fifth year so they've BEEN complete LOL.

Hi there! Yes, I received a conditional offer because I'm also currently finishing a prereq course. The terms are that I complete the course, achieve at least 60%, and submit a final transcript. Hope this helps!
