Members are discussing acceptance offers from various universities such as U of T, YorkU, McMaster, and Western, and seeking advice on which school to choose based on faculty and student care. Some users are waiting to hear back from Queens and speculating on the admissions process, while others are sharing information about Facebook groups for specific programs at different universities.
Hello!
I am currently a fourth year student in Ontario, and I decided to apply to a few accelerated nursing programs for next Fall. I'm hoping this can be a space to share where people have applied, when they receive acceptances, chat about the process/questions, etc. I've seen previous threads and think it would be nice to have one of our own!
I have applied to
Queens
Mac
York
UofT
Have a Happy New Years!
DesperateAndConcerned said:I think they happened simultaneously. I saw the email first and it said that UofT made a decision on my application. When I went to the UofT portal a minute after the email was sent, they already changed my application from "pending" to "accepted". They did say it takes about 24 hours for the change to be reflected on the OUAC portal though. I hope this helps! 😅
And I applied pretty late. I ended up submitting everything Feb 1 at 11pm ish.
Nice! "Pending"? Do you mean "Application received"? Mine doesn't show as "pending" 😮
DesperateAndConcerned said:Yes sorry!! I meant application recieved. I've been getting the messages confused between different university portals! 😅😅
Ayy nice! All good. Do you remember what time you got the acceptance email? Apparently this year they are sending out offers a month earlier. I thought they don't start sending out offers until April, but I guess they realized that it is better to send out offers earlier because many people need to find accommodation and prepare for September well ahead of time.

Yeah I was also pretty shocked that they started sending emails out so soon but I guess it works out! I got mine yesterday at 8:02 PM. Hope this helps and best of luck!! :))

Thanks!
To add onto this, did anyone that apply mid-January or before that get accepted? From the replies it seems like the ones that got accepted applied Feb1/Jan31. Sorry just anxious haha, My stats are a 3.9 GPA for last 5.0 credits, I have work experiences from co-ops, and I volunteer at the hospital and food bank.
Hi guys, for those of you that received an offer: are you still completing pre-requisite courses?
I'm finishing 2 pre-reqs this semester and upgrade my grade for another pre-req. I contacted UofT and they said they're able to give conditional offers to applicants who are in the process of completing their pre-reqs by June 2024.
I just wanted to ask if there's conditional offers this round!

Hiii : ) I got accepted yesterday and have my BSc in Bio-Medical Science from Guelph. My offer wasn't conditional, I'm not sure if others who got accepted are still completing an undergrad though! Hope this helps and wish you the best of luck for the next round☺️!

Ty for letting me know! I finished my BA in Psych and decided to pursue nursing right after so I'm completing pre-reqs this year. Hopefully I'll hear back next round!
