Adelphi Fall 2010 Applicants post here

Published

I applied to Adelphi for fall 2010 I'm just waiting to take the TEAS, I'll take it about April when they post the new dates up. I'm currently at QCC, applying there also, not sure that I want to attend, if I get into both I think I'll choose Adelphi, if I get enough financial aid and scholarships because it will take me the same time to get my ASN as my BSN because I have all other classes and it would save me time from having to go back to get BSN. I'm going to apply to molloy as well just as a backup.

What about you guys?

Me too! I'm sure I saw you shadygreen! What did you think of the test? I liked it alot better than the NLN Pax exam. The proctors were really nice too. I'm glad we'll find out our results by the end of the week. Hope you get a great score!

that exam was pretty easy, but the length of time required to complete it is wayyyyyy tooooo longggg.. my stomach was growling like a mad dog through out the entire testing period lol.

shadaygreen and jayzelena, which campus did you two apply to? the manhattan campus, or the long island one?

@ Jason, You're right. It was waaayyyy tooo long! Funny you say that about your stomach cause mine was doing that too. The girl next to me even heard it, LOL! The test was alright. (Don't wanna jinx it just in case I didn't do well) I applied to the long island campus. It is beautiful! I'm now looking into scholarships cause their tuition is pretty steep. Any advice on where I should look?

lol, there was a girl next to me, whom i bet also heard my stomach growling. oh, and i attended the open house they held in manhattan back in february. we were told that every student with a gpa of 3.0 and above automatically qualifies for the following scholarship:

  • application process: a student must first file an admissions application and then complete and file the fafsa as soon as possible after january 1, but no later than february 15 to ensure maximum eligibility.

range of awards: this award can range up to $9,000 depending upon the individual's academic profile.

Thanks for the info Jason. Unfortunately I don't know where I'm going to be in the fall so I have to file a fafsa with my current school and if I'm accepted change it then. Maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow and ask them their opinion on what I should do. Thanks again!

Hey everyone, I am going on the 15th to take the TEAS...is the test straightforward where you start it, finish it, then leave or do they give you a certain amunt of time for one section then you have to wait until a certain time is up before starting the next section?

Fafsa gives you the option to put up to 10 schools on your financial aid application. When I submitted my fafsa application I put my current school and four others that I applied to but haven't received word of my acceptance from them at the time.

You are lucky, I really like the Long Island Campus, but for me to travel there from where I live in brooklyn would take me 2 to 2 1/2 hours by train and I'd be spending about 17$ per trip.

Each section is given a certain amount of time to complete. You must wait until the time is up to continue on to the next section. Be prepared to spend a long time in that testing room because you cannot leave until everyone has finished, however, for the last section they did allow us to leave upon its completion.

The sections were timed and we were able to leave after we were finished with the last section, however, we could not go back to any section after we completed it and we could not go ahead to any section either. The proctor said that it would be considered cheating.

Anyone going to their open house on saturday?

didnt even know about the open house, however I wont be going back there unless I am accepted.
