I applied to Adelphi for fall 2010 I'm just waiting to take the TEAS, I'll take it about April when they post the new dates up. I'm currently at QCC, applying there also, not sure that I want to attend, if I get into both I think I'll choose Adelphi, if I get enough financial aid and scholarships because it will take me the same time to get my ASN as my BSN because I have all other classes and it would save me time from having to go back to get BSN. I'm going to apply to molloy as well just as a backup.
What about you guys?
Well I took your advice Mat and signed up for the TEAS on April 18th. I got the study guide and I'm going through it. Are there any other books that I should look through or any websites that may be helpful? I really want to do well. I called admissions on Friday and the woman told me I first have to get accepted to the college and then apply to the nursing program but I didn't have to have all 60 credits finished. If my GPA is good and I do well on the test she said I have a really good shot. We will see. Thanks again Mat!
Hey,
I took the TEAS, scored 120 out of 150 questions.
I have a 3.48 GPA and am a Liberal Arts student at BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College). I currently have 72 credits and will have 85 by the end of the semester. Went to two previous schools, Touro College and Berkeley College in NY, for 1 semester each between 2003 and 2005; I had below a 1.17 in both of those schools because I didn't take education seriously. This morning I went to check the status of my Adelphi application and I have been accepted into their nursing program for the Fall 2010 semester.
I wish you all the best of luck and, if you made it to the program, I will see you there in the Fall - unless, of course, I get accepted into NYU. BTW, I've also been accepted to LIU's nursing program and chose not to go there because of all the negative things I've heard about it.
jason nunues,CONGRATULATIONS!!
Which location you got in accepted into? Garden City or Manhattan Campus
Mat,
I was accepted into the Manhattan Campus. Which one did you apply to?
Congratulations Jason! That's awesome! Hopefully if all goes well I'll be in your spot soon too, Wish me luck! Thanks again Mat. You're gonna get sick of me asking you questions.
Jayzelena,
Thank you, I wish you the best of luck!
Hey Mat,
It could be that they are still reviewing applications and have not gotten to yours yet. My application status also stated that it was "complete" for about a week or two. I just kept checking it every day to see if there was a change in the status. This past weekend it was different, in that it stated I was accepted for the Fall 2010 semester.
