Ok, I was accepeted for the Spring 2012 RN program in September:) which Im happy about!

But I'm starting to becomes nervous and scared of whats to come. I know how hard and how much work must be put into this, but I'm starting to sike myself out of thinking that I will make it through.

For the newly accepted student for the Spring 2012, are you guys feeling happy, excited, nervous, scared and doubtful all at the same time?

Oh yeah I forgot to add anxiety to:uhoh3:

Hi there! I was just accepted to a Spring 2012 RN program and I just found out LAST WEEK! I am all of the above! lol. Between running around doing everything on this orientation check off list, getting finances figured out, reviewing, and trying to "enjoy" my last few weeks of freedom - it has been crazy! But at the same time I am trying to take it all in and just be grateful that I got in!

Good Luck to you! Let the craziness begin...

I'm feeling a little bit of everything you described, lol. :) Nervous and anxious about the amount of studying...sometimes I feel like I need to study twice as hard as my peers to understand some of the concepts. So that has me feeling anxious.

I've worked so hard to get this far I'm afraid of failing. I feel super lucky to have gotten in a program! I start January 9th. Like you said it is easy to psych yourself out. I think that is because of how bad we want to do well.

Overall, I am excited and ready! So happy to begin this journey. :)

I enjoy this site and knowing that I'm not alone in how I feel. So much great information here as well. I'm sure we'll be coming on here often in Nursing school.

Hi everyone!!

I too share the same emotions as you all, but I'm certain that we all will excel!!! I start January 9th as well and I'm already conditioning my mind and body to the changes it's going to undergo lol! I'm still wondering if working and being in nursing school is great idea? What do you all think?

Btw, what programs are you all attending? I will be attending NWCC in MS.

P.S. We can do it!!

I will be attending Modesto Junior Colleges ADN program.

I plan on trying to work friday thru Sunday. I am a mobile notary and can be very flexible...basiclly I make my own schedule and have the right to accept or turn down business. Ideally I would like to take 3-5 appointments per week and thats it. If I find its too much I wont work at all. We'll see...

I start an accelerated BSN program on January 5, 2012. Currently, I am finishing my final prerequisite course, pathophysiology. I must earn a B. Otherwise, my school will require I retake the class.

I still have to complete a CPR class and HIPAA training online. As well, we just moved cities, and I have to locate my purchased uniforms. I am not sure if they were shipped to my new address prior to our moving. Ugh. And shoes. I need to buy white shoes and a stethoscope.

I really have no idea what I am getting myself into. Three consecutive terms and I will have a second bachelors degree.

Here I go!

YAY!!! I might not be able to find anybody from my school on here (yet-I'm keeping hope alive), but at least I can celebrate with some other Spring 2012's!!!!! Congrats to you all!

I will be attending D'Youville College BSN program in January!

The top 2 emotions I'm running off of are: 1) Anxiety and 2) Excitement...wait a top 3) SHOCK!!!! I'm still kind of waiting for my 'Just Kidding' papers lol.

But anybody have to relocate and don't quite know where to begin?!? I'm heading from The Bay Area, CA to Buffalo NY.

Have any of you been able to register yet?!?! I have to wait until meeting with my counselor on Dec 6th :-/

Anybody else worried about finances?!?! 2nd degree = no grants, just loans for me...and not so good credit either....but I have faith it's all going to work out!

I think I'm done ranting now...lol

Hi everyone!! I will be starting an ADN program January 10th!!

I've got my uniforms, shoes, & stethoscope, just finished all my BG check/drug test/shots/physical requirements this past week, and registered for classes yesterday :)

I am beyond EXCITED!!!! But also so nervous!!! Our program is extremely competitive (20 selected out of 250 applicants) so I feel like now that I'm in I have to be on top of my game. Everyone I met at orientation is SO smart.. so I've been kind of second guessing if I can do this? Relieved to hear others are having these same feelings...We all just have to tell ourselves we were chosen for our programs for a reason - WE CAN DO THIS!!

Good luck to everyone & I'm so glad to meet some people on here who will be starting at the same time as me. I can't wait to hear everyone's experiences.

LOL! Tela you vent as much as you want here, thats what this site is for support and guildness. Im happy to see I'm not alone in the way I feel. The whole thing is overwhelming, even just to PREPARE for nursing school.

I can register now to Dec 6th for my classes but I cant do that until I submit my CPR (which I've done, just waiting on the card) , Physical (schduled for next week) and Immmunization records. Im not worried about all the spots for the classes being taken because they have enough spots for everyone that was accpeted.

Im alittle worried about work, finances and my son (what if he gets sick),(single parent who's family is in another state) . One great thing about the program is that its one day a week and my clinicals are on Saturdays:yeah:
