Hey everybody!
I just wanted to start a separate thread regarding our acceptance into the FSCJ (a.k.a. FCCJ) Summer 2010 "RN" program. I know we've all been posting to the "hopefuls" page but now that we aren't "hopefuls" anymore, and we're more like "stressfuls"... I thought I'd start a new page... JOIN ME! :)
I guess it is technically called something else other than "RN program" but... here we go anyway.
I'm still a bit confused as to whether, during orientation, I should be more focused on getting a hospital close to my house or a teacher that will be great during my first term.
Does anyone have any suggestions on this? I've always made the teacher my first priority but I'm curious as to whether or not, those of you who have been there, think that there is a big enough difference in teachers that we would be wise to drive for miles to get to a specific one.
Has anyone from y'alls group taken A&P 1&2 in the same semester? I just want advice from someone who's been there done that. If I don't take them in A8 and C8 this semester, then I won't be able to apply till next Fall, versus Summer. I know there are more seats in Fall, but you know....I want to get this thing going! Thanks for any advice. Right now I am scheduled to do the A&P1 this fall in A16, then I would do A&P2 in Spring, but like I said....so who thought it was miserable doing the two 8 wk classes, versus spreading it out over two semesters? BTW, I will also be taking my Chemistry during the A16 session.
So how is the program going?!
I have been browsing through the thread and find the information invaluable!
I have applied for the Spring 2011 days... application deadline was just Oct 1st so I am crossing fingers and toes, holding my breath and praying to know something soon :)
Any tips for this coming semester's class?
I have also been trying to figure out what the start and end dates of the term will be, I may have the opportunity to have a last little bit of funding from the Military's spouse tuition assistance problem I mean program my CAA... lol.
From what I can gather all four courses in the first term are section A16 (16 week courses)....
would anyone who is finishing term 2 be willing to help me with registration advice? i am in term 1 and our registration for term 2 takes place this monday, so we have to make decisions quickly.
one of my questions is about clinicals. if you have clinicals on thursday and friday do you spend friday night finishing your careplan? are they due on saturdays? or mondays, when you also have exams?
if anyone is willing to email, call me or pm me, would also greatly appreciate advice on instructors.
happy thanksgiving to you all!
I am finishing Term 1 and would like to get a start on some of the reading for Term 2 over the holidays. I have noticed that most of the courses do not start with Chapter 1 in the text. They start somewhere in the middle of the book and jump around. So I need the syllabus for Adult Health I, Psych and Leadership for Fall 2010. Would someone please email them to me? (Doesn't matter which instructor you had.) Please send me a private message and I will private message you back my email address.
Thanks very much and Happy Thanksgiving! Good luck on final exams to you all!
