Hey everybody!
I just wanted to start a separate thread regarding our acceptance into the FSCJ (a.k.a. FCCJ) Summer 2010 "RN" program. I know we've all been posting to the "hopefuls" page but now that we aren't "hopefuls" anymore, and we're more like "stressfuls"... I thought I'd start a new page... JOIN ME! :)
I guess it is technically called something else other than "RN program" but... here we go anyway.
I'm still a bit confused as to whether, during orientation, I should be more focused on getting a hospital close to my house or a teacher that will be great during my first term.
Does anyone have any suggestions on this? I've always made the teacher my first priority but I'm curious as to whether or not, those of you who have been there, think that there is a big enough difference in teachers that we would be wise to drive for miles to get to a specific one.
So what all do we need to make sure we have for the first week of class? I'm assuming we don't need to worry about polo shirts, uniforms or skills kits for the first few weeks. Right?
I just want to make sure I have everything set for the first week and I'm thinking all we need to have is our books.
Is the Florida Specialty place we order stuff from an actual place?I was wondering if I could go there to see what they have and stuff.
Try to check other places as well. I was able to find a few people that were done with first semester and weren't continuing on. They were selling their scrubs and polos on craigslist locally for cheap. I dropped 1st semester before clinical due to not being able to finish because of an unexpected military move and am stuck with all of my stuff too. Congrats to all that got in. The 1st semester is a bear but if you can get through it, I heard the other semesters were a breeze.
Yes, they are. For those, you have to study or create a trick to help you remember them.stuff like.....proximal....close to approximately....means close to
distal.....distance....away
midline is obvious
Thanks for letting me know. Thankfully, I took a&p I only a little over a year ago so most of that stuff is still fresh.

We also have to go to that degree audit thing on Monday so some people will have to be there by 9am.
Im section 6 so I have to go on the 10am-11am spot.
After that, we have to wait for 3 hours or more to take the test
I live like 20 minutes away so I'll have to stay on campus for that 3 hours so I wont waste gas. That a good amount of study time....
