Ive been accepted to Frontier. WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!!! Still in shock....happy, excited, scared. Will be going to Frontier Bound in Nov. Since I began looking at schools, I felt this was where I was suppose to go. Will be starting classes in Jan. I DID take phy assess thru Frontier this past summer and loved it. It was NOT easy...but the experience was a positive one....and I like the style of learning / teaching.

Any advice / pointers are greatly appreciated as I start this new adventure.

We're your A&P/Micro from Excelsior? I completed almost all my courses with Excelsior so I didn't have labs. ADN program was a great option for me. Any advice related being competitive for admissions?

how did you it all go for you? I was accepted and was wondering how you handled the work load and do you have any tips?

Can you post the eassay you wrote, so I can get an idea of what they are looking for

So I just finished third term at FNU Does anyone have any suggestions for getting through the rest of the program for CNEP? Its been brutal and my nerves are shot. I need some encouragement

I am thinking about applying to the FNP program at Frontier. Could you tell me about the scheduling of the classes? I have heard that the classes last for 11 weeks and then you have 2 weeks off prior to starting the next classes. I also like that they offer multiple start dates throughout the year, which would be helpful to me because I will be busy taking my son to college next August. Many of the schools follow the traditional calendar and start in August, but this would not work for me at this time.

I am in the PMHNP program at FNU. I don't have specifics on the FNP, but the 11 week terms are the same and yes, there are two week breaks in between terms. It is nice that they offer multiple start dates!

I saw someone asking about admission statistics. They publish this stuff on their website. I remember reading over the past 4 years for FNP, they had about 1400 applicants/year and accepted about 700. To hit home how tough it is, their graduation rate of FNPs per year is 200ish. Sounds low, but i imagine life gets in the way for many. They have a really good NP certification review that currently has a 98% first time pass rate. The school is tough and it took me longer to graduate than my initial bridge class, but it is a solid body of work.

Hello there,

Just interesting in finding out more info on the PMHNP track. I am planning to apply for the Spring cohort. Is the schedule tough? you working while in school? Did you get waitlisted? TIA. Any info appreciated
