I have just been accepted to the Emory BSN nursing program for fall 2009 and I just wanted to know if other accepted students would like us to communicate and help each other prepare for the fall. We can discuss anything from immunization, PDA, housing to financial aid.
I would also like current student and alumni to mentor us in order to make our preparation smoother. Any advice is welcome since you've been there before from what type of stethoscope to which brand of PDA to buy.
I am a very meticulous person and would like every thing to go perfectly that is why I need all the advice that I can get so that come August, we would all be ready and prepared for the challenging two years ahead of us.
Thanks to all who will join the group and to all who will advise us.
Really appreciated.

Miche, I was wondering the same thing. I considered calling to double check, but I imagine the whole point is to have you serve right out of the BSN; so if you're going on to the MSN directly, you wouldn't qualify. If you were considering taking a year or two off, then you could apply for a year or two of aid, respectively. I never asked, but I read the app a couple times and came to that conclusion, so I'm not applying.
Has anyone received their financial aid Package yet? I am dying to know how much it is and how much I am going to have to look for else where. I applied for NEAT, Hope, Tuition Equalizer, Woodruff scholarship and the other institution scholarships.
I am just stressing out about my financial situation.

I am an independent too. I am also married, but I am taking every opportunity possible to afford nursing school. We'll see how it goes.
