Im sorry experienced 66H are limited to these areas

Glad you clarified, I was like, "HUH?!" Sorry your assignment isn't what you wanted, but I'm sure you'll make the best of it. I wanted another place as well (Ft. Carson, where we have friends and my husband has a standing job offer), but truly, I'm just so happy to have been selected that I can make anything work, even the even-deeper-than-Virginia South of Ft. Stewart. LOL

I exchanged a few messages with an ER nurse on Facebook (just asked her a few questions), and she was stationed at Ft. Irwin. She loved it there.

Has anyone received their official orders yet? I don't want to give notice at my ER until I have mine ...

Nope no official orders yet. I already gave the heads up to my Director. She is super supportive and a retired Navy RN. I will post if I see some orders.

out of all seriousness there are worse places then Irwin. Remember the Soldiers passing through are doing their final train up prior to heading down range. Interesting place - have some neat outdoorsy opportunities as well.

Nope, still waiting for my official letter. I was just informed via email where & when & how so far, ha. I verbally told my director & told her I'd give the written once I have my official orders. Safety net, lol. :specs:
