Hi everyone, I'm going to be graduating this semester with my bachelors in Biology and I plan to apply to the Accelerated BSN program at Texas a&m Corpus Christi. I really hope I get in, but my gpa is pretty low. My overall is a 3.3 and my pre requisite gpa is a 3.4. I do, however, have CNA experience in home health, telemetry, and the NICU. I also have lots of health care volunteer hours.
Does anyone know any inside details about the accelerated nursing program like how many students get accepted, how competitive it is or what you think my chances are? have any of you been accepted and can give me some advice?
The accelerated program isn't requiring the HESI anymore so I can't really make up for my gpa by getting a high HESI score so I'm a little sad about that. I really want to get accepted and I'm going to pour my heart into the personal statement but i feel like so many programs only accept students with stellar stats..

I haven’t heard anything but I think it has to do with when our applications were verified..I believe they’re going in order. Mine was verified the 14th and I haven’t heard anything ?

I’m not really sure honestly..when I emailed the advisor, he said they start reviewing applications once they’re verified and it’s like a rolling admissions (first come first serve basically). But I would assume we’ll start hearing back by March for sure
