Accelerated BSN TAMUCC summer 2019

Published

Hi everyone, I'm going to be graduating this semester with my bachelors in Biology and I plan to apply to the Accelerated BSN program at Texas a&m Corpus Christi. I really hope I get in, but my gpa is pretty low. My overall is a 3.3 and my pre requisite gpa is a 3.4. I do, however, have CNA experience in home health, telemetry, and the NICU. I also have lots of health care volunteer hours.

Does anyone know any inside details about the accelerated nursing program like how many students get accepted, how competitive it is or what you think my chances are? have any of you been accepted and can give me some advice?

The accelerated program isn't requiring the HESI anymore so I can't really make up for my gpa by getting a high HESI score so I'm a little sad about that. I really want to get accepted and I'm going to pour my heart into the personal statement but i feel like so many programs only accept students with stellar stats.. :(

Has anyone received an acceptance letter or heard back yet? Just had my interview!

20 mins! Mine took about 17 and I got to ask questions

Perfect! Sounds great! I have mine in a few minutes. What kind of questions did they ask you?

Good luck! Youll do great! They asked very simple questions basically wanting to know more about me as a person (non academic)

Sounds great! Thank you!

Does anyone know how many people applied? I asked the admissions committee how many students would get accepted and they said 35 ?

Got accepted!!!

Congratulations @KerrieRN! I got accepted as well!

Congratulations to both of you! I didn’t receive anything ?

Has anyone else heard anything yet?

curious to know if they’re still hosting interviews
