Hi everyone, I'm going to be graduating this semester with my bachelors in Biology and I plan to apply to the accelerated BSN program at Texas a&m Corpus Christi. I really hope I get in, but my gpa is pretty low. My overall is a 3.3 and my pre requisite gpa is a 3.4. I do, however, have CNA experience in home health, telemetry, and the NICU. I also have lots of health care volunteer hours.
Does anyone know any inside details about the accelerated nursing program like how many students get accepted, how competitive it is or what you think my chances are? have any of you been accepted and can give me some advice?
The accelerated program isn't requiring the HESI anymore so I can't really make up for my gpa by getting a high HESI score so I'm a little sad about that. I really want to get accepted and I'm going to pour my heart into the personal statement but i feel like so many programs only accept students with stellar stats..

Hey guys,
How long did it take for NursingCAS to receive your transcripts?
My nursingcas was very quick everything was received within like 4-5 days! Does anyone know when they’re going to start reviewing applications and accepting?

I was told that after your transcripts are received they still need to be verified. Does anyone know if the verification will affect your application? It’s still submitted before the 2/1 deadline...
Yeah I’m not sure when the deadline for the verification is. But I do know Nursing Cas said it takes b/t 7 to 10 buisness days to verify transcripts after they have been received

I asked the advisor and he said that as long as the application was submitted before the deadline, then you’re fine! The transcripts don’t need to be verified. But once they are verified, that’s when the admissions committee will review your application!

I talked to the advisor and he said it’s rolling admissions. So they will review applications in the order they are received then they’ll start calling for interviews. Apparently the interviews are going to be through Skype!
