Accelerated BSN program NYU Fall 2011

Hi hopeful Fall 2011 NYU students!

I recently submitted my application for the accelerated BNS program. I saw that other semesters had discussions and I thought it would be nice to start one for us, just to help each other out through the application process.

I looked at past ones when I was filling out my application and found them to be helpful, so hopefully it will be for us.

ahhh I am getting nervous now that mine have not been checked off yet. Has everyone's status changed and transcripts been checked off?

Mine still remain unchecked. Maybe they are doing it according to the alphabet or in the order they received the applications. Don't worry! We'll hear soon.

Hey all.

Just called today and the lady I talked to said they are sorting through them now and they should be checked off by the end of the week. She said they hadnt even gotten to transfer students yet but Jsong/Halley are you guys transfer students? Maybe they are going in alphabetical order or something.

I called paranoid because I recently got married so my app has my married name but my transcripts have my maiden name.

We'll see I guess. Thanks for the update everyone. Lets just keep checking Albert and crossing our fingers!

Btw Id like to know too if theres a way to check on letters of rec. Maybe Ill call again at the end of the week. For those whose transcripts were received, does it say anything on there about receiving letters of rec too?

I already have my bachelors, so I'm not a transfer student.

Also, Although the albert website shows that all my transcripts are in, it does not say anything about whether or not the recommendation letters were received. I guess I'll wait for a couple of days before calling admissions.

Hey everyone! I also applied to the accelerated program starting in the fall and I am definitely as antsy as the rest of you! I submitted my application on February 21st and sent my transcripts and rec letters in that week. As soon as I saw that my application was incomplete, I sent an email to admissions and they updated it within 24 hours reflecting HS transcripts and scores marked off (although, I did not submit them with my app). My transcripts are still not in the system, but I feel better about it since most of you are in the same boat!

I also wanted share that I read through some of the Spring 2011 accelerated application threads, and they started receiving their acceptances the first week of November - Their priority consideration deadline was Oct. 1 and the regular decision deadline was November 1st. So, I feel like it really could start happening in the first week of April. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi All!

I called the Office of Admissions today and asked them about the status of my application. My account is asking for transcripts to schools that I never even attended? Anyway, they told me not to worry about our Albert accounts because the system is not accurate and there have been some errors with it. They told me if they need anything we will be notified by email not by our account. As long as we all received an email saying that our applications were received and under review, we're good!

I think we'll hear around April 15th about acceptances. Last year's class heard around then, so I am assuming we will too, hopefully. The wait makes me anxious.

I wouldn't worry to much, mine literally just got checked off. I had looked yesterday and nothing was done, so it just happened this morning for me. They are probably still putting everyone's info into the computer. But yea, its always best to contact them too if you have any concerns. Hopefully they have my letters of rec too, because there is no box for that and no way for us to know if they have them. I think we are all just extra anxious and I am sure they have everything :)
