I recently submitted my application for the accelerated BNS program. I saw that other semesters had discussions and I thought it would be nice to start one for us, just to help each other out through the application process.
I looked at past ones when I was filling out my application and found them to be helpful, so hopefully it will be for us.

Annie Let me know what they tell you. Maybe I will call too. Do you think it has something to do with letters of rec? I wish there was a way to know if theyve gotten them.
No worries. They don't really follow the Albert system she said. Plus they won't be updating that till April, so don't follow that. She said they would be directly contacting us via email about our applications, so if you are missing something you will get an email. If you're not missing anything, you will not receive an email. They won't send these emails out till April though, so don't worry. It has nothing to do with letter of recommendation. She said not to worry about the fact that nothing has been checking off online. Hope this helps relieve some anxiety!
LoL Thanks Annie. Its just me and you left with no check marks. It makes me feel a little better tho hearing that. BUT I would feel a lot better if mine were checked off like the rest of you, even if they dont go by it. hehe
I know we said they werent really following Albert but my transcripts are finally checked off!!!
But I am missing one of my jc's transcripts but its not even listed and my hs trancripts and test scores are still on there. Hopefully that will be added (and taken off soon).
Where is everyone seeing the check off from? What is the albert system? I submitted all my materials last month. Please give me any advice. I am so nervous !!
I check mine all the time to see if things get checked off and I am disappointed most of the time to find that it has not been.

When you submitted your materials, did you receive an email from NYU thanking you for you interest and giving you an id number to their website? When you log into that, you're on the NYU home page. Click on the academics tab and on the left side of the screen, it should say Albert login and then just login. Once you have, on the left side of the screen under admissions, it says "application status," click on that and you should see all your transcripts listed.
I got my confirmation it was received from Common App. I didn't get an email from NYU yet with the Albert info. I submitted my nyu app today but my supplement and transcripts were submitted in February. I forgot to press the submit button for the NYU app on common app- so stupid of me because now I missed the priority deadline even though my application was ready before hand !! But my supplement app was submitted 2.20.2011 so I'm unsure if I'll make it for priority deadline.
Did you apply through common app as well? How long did it take before they gave you your ID number?
I would call about that. They might let your application be in the candidate pool for priority decision since your supplements were submitted. Definitely call first thing Monday. We all had to apply via the common app and yes, it was a little confusing. I got my NYU email with my ID number about a week or two after I sent the actual application in. I would just explain to the admissions office about what happened. To be honest, I think they are still sorting through all the applications anyway and organizing everything. I don't think anyone's application has actually been reviewed by the admissions board. When I called the other day, the admissions office informed me that if I was missing anything in my application they would email me, but she said not till early April, so, I am assuming that means that they haven't really reviewed yet.
i will definitely call first thing monday morning !! thanks for the support. should i call the general number for admissions ? or is there a specific person I should contact?
Also, where else did everyone apply to? I applied to 6 schools , hope I get accepted to one !!!
