Accelerated BSN program NYU Fall 2011

Published

Hi hopeful Fall 2011 NYU students!

I recently submitted my application for the accelerated BNS program. I saw that other semesters had discussions and I thought it would be nice to start one for us, just to help each other out through the application process.

I looked at past ones when I was filling out my application and found them to be helpful, so hopefully it will be for us.

Love to see who all is applying and how it's going:)

Jdubs99 I applied on December 3rd as a transfer student to the regular decision nursing program and haven't heard anything yet. I called last week and they said they are still working through applications and that I would be notified by E-Mail...I have seen on here that a lot of people have been accepted already to the accelerated program..I also have been doing research and apparently there is no method to the madness..people get rejected/accepted on a rolling basis. Really anxious to hear back!

Thanks Char 2011,

I'm still waiting to see if I get accepted but EmEmJay and I were talking about moving in together assuming I get in. I was thinking it might be cheaper just to find an empty four bedroom house. Also, the more the merrier :)

No news here...Going crazy! Anyone else find out? It's odd I haven't heard of anyone that has been rejected yet.

For all of you that are still waiting for a decision, have you also applied elsewhere or is it "NYU or bust"?

I applied to GW, Catholic, and Marymount University. Got waitlisted at GW

I have been accepted into another program and had to make a deposit there, even though I haven't heard from NYU. I am really hoping to find out ASAP before I lose any more money!! :uhoh21:

University of Florida, Florida State University & NYU. UF said I have the grades but not enough credits, need 60 or more as a transfer student..I have 58..wasn't exactly the best letter to receive in the mail..Still waiting on FSU and NYU. Extremely worried about paying for living expenses in NYC tho..I heard a lot of people commute from NJ..

jdubs99,

GW was actually my first choice. I sent them a letter yesterday stating that I want to reaffirm my interest in their program etc. The first acceptance I get I'm going to put down a deposit just to be on the safe side. I hear you about losing money though.....

hi everyone,

i was wondering if everyone that's still waiting for a decision are traditional transfer applicants or are there still accelerated prog applicants still waiting to find out? i applied before the priority date as a transfer student and I havent heard anything. im really nervous.

Yea, I paid my deposit today for NYU. I also applied to Concordia College in NY, and will also apply to Cleveland State, and Valparaiso. I will most likely go to NYU but I would like to have an option to go somewhere cheaper and/or in the Midwest.

Salarany.. I applied to the College of Nursing as a traditional transfer..Applied on December 3rd..still haven't heard anything. Have you called?
