Hi hopeful Fall 2011 NYU students!
I recently submitted my application for the accelerated BNS program. I saw that other semesters had discussions and I thought it would be nice to start one for us, just to help each other out through the application process.
I looked at past ones when I was filling out my application and found them to be helpful, so hopefully it will be for us.
Love to see who all is applying and how it's going:)

Ok so I just got my first taste of how rejection would feel.
Somebody emailed me today saying, "Thank you for applying to NYU, unfortunately..." My stomach dropped and I didnt want to read the rest.
They were writing to me to say some of my classes didnt meet the requirement for lifespan psychology. But Im in psych right now and she didnt see it, so I got it taken care of.
Seriously though I just felt what it would feel like to be rejected and it made me come off this high that maybe I wont be accepted. Ugh. Who knows?
On the bright side for the rest of you, it looks like they are going through our apps pretty quickly...
Hi everyone!
I've been following the board but have been hesitant to actually post bc then it seems more real or something, but I can't keep waiting alone anymore! Ack! I'm nervous.
I live in NYC and actually got a previous degree from NYU if anyone has questions about the area.
Re: Kkandes, I think email.
Crossing my fingers for acceptance (and soon!!)

Just spoke to a student ambassador and they told me once again to chill about not having had an email from NYU or access to ALBERT whoever he is lol He said if there's a problem with your app you'll hear something, otherwise no news is good news. I don't even know what type of student I'm classified as - transfer I guess? I have a BA already but selected the traditional route because I need a couple of semesters to do all my science prereqs at NYU. So I think I'm a transfer student, which someone previously said we'll hear 'late May on a rolling basis'. Accelerated route students should hear anytime in April according to today's student ambassador. He said you normally hear by email first and then they follow through with snail mail. Not so nervous about not getting in probably because my child provides me with plenty of distraction, also I've decided I'll just reapply for Spring if they give me a no...so not taking no for an answer lol
Not taking no for an answer! Haha I like that!
I was hoping to hear today but now they only have an hour to send me my acceptance letter so its not looking good. I dont think theyd send em over the weekend so I guess we will have to wait til next week...
I did see on last years forum tho some people never got an email and they just found out through snail mail. Maybe thats us? Im gonna go check my mail!! LoL
