So, I would really like to get into UMass Amherst for there 2015-2016 cycle, so I will be sending in my application soon for there February 2015 deadline.
I'm just wondering if I even have a chance since my Bachelors in Biology overall GPA is a 2.99, then I took a summer course (Microbiology) at a community college and received an A. Hopefully that'll boost my GPA up for my degree?
I also have over 2,500 hours as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and I've studied abroad in England/Ireland for a Biology course.
This is my number one school that I would like to get into too, I was just wondering other peoples statistics on their GPA average, GPA for their pre-reqs, and if anyone has been or is in the program can tell me about it?
I also applied to UMass Amherst ABSN program. I wonder if those who got accepted can share their stats in GPA , and date of interview ? I will very appreciate it.

Oh wow.. now I'm even more nervous that people have started to hear things but I haven't. I also interviewed the 19th so hopefully we'll begetting something soon! Honestly I'm surprised they've sent letters out this early. Congrats to both of you tho! Must be relieving.
I received an acceptance also! Not sure what I am doing tho. Stats wise my pre req Gpa was a 3.76 my interview was the 19th. I have experience as a cna in a nursing home and as a patient care tech in the micu sicu.
Hi all, my interview was the 18, my GPA is 3.8 overall and I believe 3.45 for the pre-reqs. I am a registered dietitian and I have worked in a hospital for 4 yrs. My interview went very well I thought. I was interviewed by two ladies, they made me feel very comfortable.

Thanks! Yes, I interviewed on the 18th and my letter was dated the 20th. That means it took almost a week to get to me in NY. Hopefully you hear back this weekend or Monday!
I was interviewed by one woman and joined by another later. i felt pretty confident coming out of my interview I think my work experience really helped me to express my feelings on nursing
Congrats to those admitted and the ones waiting be patient. I live in south hadley, ma so very close to UMass, that's probably why I got my letter so soon
