ABSN CSULA Summer 2018

Hello ALL!

I wanted to start a topic about ABSN program at CSULA for Summer 2018 and get some feedback about applying, stats, and more. I am looking to apply here and to other similar programs and I wanted feedback about your experiences.

My status says incomplete, also. I called Cal State LA's admissions office, and the lady I spoke to said that it doesn't mean that the paperwork is incomplete but that the process is incomplete. She wasn't able to give me an estimated time as to when the status would be updated, but one person in the previous forums had a status change mid-April. >_

Thanks so much cookiemishy! It's making me kind of anxious; I feel like the acceptance isn't truly final until I'm admitted to Cal State LA. Hmm but there shouldn't be any reason we'd be accepted to the nursing program and not the actual university right?

That's what I'm thinking. The ABSN program is much harder to get into than the school itself. I'm anxious too and have been browsing previous forums like crazy. I haven't come across a post yet where a person was accepted to the program but not to the school.

Same with me! I haven't seen that either, so hopefully we're feeling anxious over nothing. Just unsure at this point if I should be looking for a place in LA/give a resignation notice to my job yet haha! I'll let you know if there's any changes to my status. Thank you!

Received the email from CSULA but still waiting to hear from ABSN program. My guess is that it will be a no, but the waiting is killing me!

Right there with ya. I feel like we're unofficially on a waiting list. But hey, if I have a 4.0 and really good TEAS scores it just shows how competitive this year was...we should be feeling accomplished that we got interviews based on people's stats who didn't get one! Try not to feel down!

Hi. I just received an e-mail from KH that I was accepted to the ABSN program. I have been waiting rather (IM)patiently for this and so happy right now. Compared to some of you in here, my stats aren't the best (TEAS, GPA), so I am really thankful for this opportunity. If you are still waiting, check your email regularly today or the next few days. My understanding was those that got called last week was given until the 27th to decide if they will attend the program. I'm guessing I was on some kind of wait list until yesterday and when somebody backed out, I got that person's spot.

Officially on the waitlist, guys! Hoping someone gives up their spot and that I'm next on the list! She didn't say why I was waitlisted but I'm guessing my low level of experience has played a big role in it. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next spot!!!

I got an email asking if I wanted to be placed on the waiting list... I said yes but it feels like false hope again lol
