Hello ALL!

I wanted to start a topic about ABSN program at CSULA for Summer 2018 and get some feedback about applying, stats, and more. I am looking to apply here and to other similar programs and I wanted feedback about your experiences.

Yeah I haven't received an interview either idk whether to pay or not. Ugh this is frustrating. I didn't receive acceptance into UCLA so I'm starting to lose hope now :(

I'm in the exact situation as you :/ did you apply to any other schools?

HELLO everyone! this is my first time posting here... I sent my application in January and received a confirmation email on January 19th. I made my cal state apply account as instructed to do so and then I was contacted for an interview on march 2nd and I have it this Saturday. I am still finishing my cal state apply application before the deadline of march 15th. I scored an overall 88% on the TEAS with 90th percentile or above in all sections. I got Bs for my pre-reqs except in anatomy I got an A. and my undergraduate GPA was 3.33. Ive been working as an EMT in a children's hospital for 2 years now but I have been an EMT in the field for 4 years now.my major was kinesiology for my undergrad

Welcome!! I think you're proof that experience is super important to program eligibility!! Congrats on your interview...you'll do great!

Hello, I am new to this forum. Like everyone else here, I'd applied Cal State LA's Accelerated BSN program this year. I recently received an email to complete my Cal State LA application, yet I have not received an invite for an interview. Is this the norm for Cal State LA? In other words, do prospective students pay $50 application fee even though they may not get a chance to interview? Just curious because I wonder if I should wait to apply around Mar 15 (deadline) before I submit my application (and possibly throw $50 down the drain). Thoughts?

Hello, I just joined the forum. Just received an email this weekend with an invitation code to use for the online application, but the only Nursing program that is showing up there is for the "Spring" term, not summer. Can anyone who has submitted the online application verify if that's the correct one, or was there a mix-up with the invitation code?

The person I talked to in the program wasn't sure how to go about it and the Cal State helpdesk could only offer generic advice. Thank you in advance and best of luck to all of us!

When you're logging in make sure you select the summer term. It should then give you two spring and one summer absn options. At least it did for me!

Has anyone been given a more specific time line of when we will find out decisions other than 'the end of March'?

During my interview, I was told we'd hear back by 3/30, but the previous cohort had some people getting the acceptance call starting from 3/21. I'm thinking it might be the same this year.

has anyone started filling out the student information/health clearance form?

I haven't yet. Does anyone know if it's all due on 4/28? I forgot to ask

I paid the application fee, but still haven't received an interview invite. Maybe I should have waited until the deadline... Oh well :(

Has anyone else received any more interviews?

I'm in the same boat as you bruin2012, and it's starting to get very discouraging.
