I wanted to start a topic about ABSN program at CSULA for Summer 2018 and get some feedback about applying, stats, and more. I am looking to apply here and to other similar programs and I wanted feedback about your experiences.

Nope, haven't received an interview yet... just don't know if I wanna throw the $55 down the drain just yet hahah

has anyone started filling out the student information/health clearance form?

Starting to get my stuff together. Not purchasing the portal thing until I get an official acceptance though. Did she say that we would get more info on the fire card or am I totally making that up? Haha I feel like I'm losing my mind waiting.

Not sure I feel like it got pretty quiet on here. I feel like someone just had an interview though, right?

If that person reads this can you tell us the time slots you were offered? Thanks!

When I had my interview on Saturday March 10th I saw 2 other people interview before me. The slots that were given to me to pick were

Monday, March 5th at 2:30pm

Saturday, March 10th at 11:00am or 1:30pm

Monday, March 12th at 1:30pm, 2:00pm or 2:30pm. But kathleen said that if those didn't work that they could accommodate. For those asking about the fire card she said she would send out more information on where to sign up and times after March 31st.

And a piece of advice when doing the writing sample...you need to answer 2 prompts in essay format in 25 minutes. Do not waste a single minute just write whatever comes to your head. But the 2 people that did it before me didn't finish nor did I but I hope they saw where we were going with what we did complete

That second prompt really got me during my interview...the first was much easier!

Who can give me a logical answer as to why they'd ask some of us to apply to the school, pay the fees, and not offer an interview?...

Also...I forgot what Kathleen told me about clinical rotations. She said we would be doing them during the weekend? Was it every weekend or every other weekend? Did anyone ask about that?

I think that's all schools where you have to pay for the application and then wait to see if you get in. Like PA school or even when you first had to apply to a cal state to UC
