AACC Spring 2012 hopefuls?

Hello fellow MD nurses!

I'm just looking to see if there are any prospective Spring 2012 students at AACC? I'm finishing up A&P2 this summer and will be putting my application in in the fall. Anyone take the TEAS yet? Any advice? I'll probably take mine in August when I'm done with classes so I can focus on studying for that as opposed to my other classes.

I've bought my stethoscope and a blood pressure cuff already. I also bought the Nursing Fundamentals book that someone recommended getting a head start on. That's the only book I'll get for now though just in case any of the books change that are required.

Which book was it? The fundamentals book we are required to have? I just checked and they have a booklist for spring semester up now on the bookstore website.

As far as scrubs go, I'm definitely going to try some on then find them online cheaper if I can. So we are required to have a stethoscope and bp cuff?

Yes it was the fundamentals book that we are required to have that I got. I don't think the bp cuff is required, not 100% sure on that though.

Alright, just ordered it from Amazon! I'll wait on the stethoscope and/or cuff until after orientation.

Hey everyone, haven't been on in awhile. Is everyone getting excited about orientation thats just 11 days away?:yeah:Can't wait.......I don't know who can use this information but AER offers scholarships for the military spouse's education and they will start the application process in December...if you need info let me know. FYI...it would cover Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 if approved and then u reapply for the following year.

This is for the current AACC LPN students or anyone for that matter....Do you know what the daily schedule for the LPN programme would be like? Is it a Mon-Fri 9-5pm timeline or does it vary? Trying so hard to plan ahead. Thanks.

Just to let everyone know the scholarship from my previous post is for Army. Sorry for any confusion..but I wii post any new free monies I stumble upon.
