A praise here ... a praise there ... goes a long way. It can brighten up your day. Did you have a good day in school? What did you do? Passed a test? Did great in clinicals? Instructor said something to you? Share your story...

Hardly got any praise in nursing school that I can remember. Hardly got any praise at my first nursing job. At my second job I have actually been recognized for good work. I don't like this second job, but the praise has kept me going a little longer. Positive recognition, or lack of it, can make or break a job or experience.

I didn't do so well on my first nursing exam this session. I had to remediate with my prof via FaceTime. I enjoyed the fact that she told me that, "I am a smart girl and I can do it next time." I hear stories about instructors wanting their students to sailor setting them up for failure. So this was refreshing to hear from my prof!
