I'm also taking Anatomy and Chemistry this semester. We use the Martini book by the same publisher with the same website. I agree the website is very useful. Our instructor also does fast powerpoint presentations.

As for Micro, you need to check your school's course catalog and see what the prerequisites are. There are a lot of people at my school who have taken microbiology before anatomy and physiology with no problem.

Congrats to everyone that is doing so well! I am taking Chem and Anatomy (the school I go to offers Anatomy and Physio separately). I bombed the first test and I just got a 90% on my second midterm and an 88% on the lab exam. Urgh, those slides kill me! Anyway, I just wanted to say that we are using the Marieb book, and if anyone is using this book, use the website!!! I did not look at the website until after the first test, and it helped A LOT. Also, take the quizzes at the end of the chapters. Unfortunately, our teacher does not have a lot of structure, and just breezes through the powerpoints. Everyone complained a lot after the first test, so he has been better lately about emphasizing what will be on the exams. Is anyone going to be taking Micro in the summer, and should I take Micro although I haven't taken Physio? Any thoughts? Thanks!

How is everyone doing...we down to the home stretch!!

I'm chugging through the nervous system..3 chapters worth!! We have our lectuer exam Thursday!! Afterwards..one more practical..and one more lecture exam..and then we're DONE!!!

Then off to A&P II and Chem for the summer...can't wait:icon_roll

7 weeks left in my semester. Digestive, respiratory, nervous, urinary, reproductive. Then we're done!

How is everyone doing...we down to the home stretch!!
I'm chugging through the nervous system..3 chapters worth!! We have our lectuer exam Thursday!! Afterwards..one more practical..and one more lecture exam..and then we're DONE!!!
Then off to A&P II and Chem for the summer...can't wait:icon_roll

7 weeks?? When did you start? I've only got 3 more weeks..thank GOODNESS! Mind you..we had no spring break either..CRAZINESS! lol

Our spring semester starts on February 2nd and ends May 28th. 16 week class

Our school does winter session for January. So I did my Comm1 public speaking pre-req for the winter session. Knocked out a whole semester class in 4 weeks. Good deal!

Yeah..we have winter session..but it starts in December and ends right before Spring classes start. I think it's about 3 weeks long..

Just finished muscles...ugh. Hated that one. Now onto nerves... and I get to dissect a sheep brain in one of my labs. This one is gonna be fun!

Anyone else finding this class dragging? I took the regular semester to give myself enough time in case I needed it, and its killing me - I feel like i am walking through quicksand. I wish I had taken a shorter semester now. Am I the only one?

Yes you're the only one Seriously I think my class should be a 32-week class instead of 16 week. They're force-feeding me information twice as fast as I can learn it

I am just ready for it to be OVER, Sand Dollar! My teacher is easy..but I feel like he's not preparing me for A&P II..at all!! We've rushed and skipped a lot of stuff (IMHO) but whatever..just ready for it to be done!

We dissected a sheep's brain last week! It was actually cool..better than the rat dissection we did! I actually took pics :) Took pics of the rat dissection as well...lol

P.S. I HATE the nervous system! This is the worst! I have my exam on Thursday and I'm actually nervous..PUN INTENDED!
