well, it's about time to start this thread, i think!! let's get our bearings and see who all is in the same boat in january!
i finish up the first half of a&p with a comprehensive exam on december 13th and then it's right into the physiology portion of the course. we actually are starting special senses this week and next but will only get the first chapter done.
so .... who else is in? when did you take a&p i and how is your course set up? do you have the prof you want and are you looking forward to it?
i will include the sites from the a&p i thread that might be helpful! i will add/subtract as i get a chance to look through them a bit more or if anyone else suggests some good sites.

Hi all, I am new to this forum. I am taking A&P II now and CHE 1000. It's really hard work but with the help of you all I am sure I'll do fine.
Welcome to the forum! This is a wonderful resource! There are some great cardio websites throughout this thread. Just take a look through the past 15 pages and you'll find a plethora of good information.
My favorite study tool is flash cards. Easy to use, easy to make, easy to transport, and works well when studying with 2 or more people.
We are working on Cardiovascular System- Heart right now and it seems like a lot of info. NE one have any tips on this subject.
I'm just starting cardio in lecture, and about to be tested over it in lab. For lab, remember that the "right" (ventricle, atrium) of the heart is really on the left side of the picture or model/picture and the "left" (ventricle, atrium) is on the right side. :)
I'm sorry you were displaced.I hope you are enjoying Vegas! What college are you going to? I just got accepted into CCSN's nursing program. If you have any questions, just ask! I had excellent, fair, knowledgable instructors that I could recommend.

Hi Woogy,
Vegas is ok, its a little different from home. I just started classes today at CCSN. I have my lab class tomorrow. My lecture teacher seems ok so far. Any info on the CCSN Nursing program would be nice. I dont know that much about it.
OK, so who's dying besides me? LOL. First test is Feb 13th in lecture. I gotta say we're covering alot for the first test, my brain hurts.
wow! First test is Feb. 13? We had our first test this past Monday. I guess it's a lot better than having to cram all that studying in at once. Good Luck.

Me, me! I'm kinds hatin' it too:uhoh3::uhoh3: I almost posted the same question last night LOL! AP2 seems A LOT harder to me, than 1. My second round of lab & lecture tests is next Wed. and Thurs...hope I feel prepared by then.
Well ours is just plain ol' A&P too .. it spans two terms and we definitely are not off the hook for all the material covered thus far. We are currently covering the heart in lecture and we are a bit off in labs .. our lab this week was on somatic vs. autonomic motor pathways and the endocrine system.Hmmm. I am confused reading all of these posts. Maybe it's because I am getting my ADN at a Community College? But, I am taking just plain ole' Anatomy and Physiology, period. No "I" and "II".
We also are expected to have at least a C average to be admitted into second year nursing.
Good luck with your course!! When did you start and when do you finish (this course and overal)?

I just took my first lecture exam, which was only over the endocrine system and hormones. I was very confident of over 90% of the test, but we'll see tomorrow when I get my exam back how I did.
