A&P II: The Summer '05 Anatomy & Physiology Club

Decided to go ahead and create a new thread...

I am taking A & P II at Valencia Community College in Orlando FL. We start May 12th...

I am an Online ASN Student at Deaconess College of Nursing in St Louis. I have taken a leave of absense for the summer so I will only be focusing on A & P. Guess I am not really a pre-nursing student, hope no one minds.

I am looking forward to sharing experiences!

YAY!!!!!!!!!! Aren't you glad? I have been on a mental vacation for the last few days and it feels WONDERFUL!

IT FEELS GREAT!!!! I now have all my pre-reqs & non-nursing courses completed!!!! :)

I was thinking about taking a music appreciation class in the fall, but I think I'm just going to take it easy. (Enjoy my family, and enjoy football season!) lol

I may have to take it later on, but that will be when I do the RN-BSN as an elective. It can wait; I need a break! I've been doing so many fast-track, mini-mesters, etc since last November.....I'm tired! LOL

I hear you! I still have Micro to go....I sort of wish I had been able to do it over the summer but it just didn't fit my schedule. I start the 30th and dread it every day LOL! I have to take the TEAS on Sept 10th so next week I will start studying for that ( I am soooooooooooo rusty on algebra!). BUT....this weekend it is " all sleep, no work, amy time!"

By the way...as a little " mark the celebration" I put plastic wrap on my A+P book! I will NOT break the seal until I need it for nursing school. I don't think there is a page in that sucker without highlighting on it....

I counted..get this...4,286 flashcards that I HAND WROTE during A+P I and II. They fill a large BOOT SHOE BOX ( and I feel pretty dumb because I read some and was like " uhhhhhh" ..total brain farting on stuff). I think I will bronze that shoebox - ha ha ha!

I think I made an A, but I will have to wait until the final grade is posted.

A&P 2 is OVER OVER OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thursday was our last day and I found out I aced my lab exam and didnt have to take the last lecture because he let us drop that one if we didnt need it. I earned an A in my A&P2 and my psy online class (which was the easiest class I have taken thus far). I have about two weeks off before I start the Fall semester which I am taking Pathophysiology, Nutrition and medical math/dosages and measurements. I start on the 30th as well. Congratulations to all who have made it through this summer and good luck in the future!

:imbar I totally forgot to update you guys and congratulate you all :)

I finished with a B and I am OK with it (in my school A in anatomy is VERY rare). I applied for January 2006, fingers crossed. I only have micro left to take this Fall and will be taking Sociology and Spanish with it (BSN courses). Good luck everyone and keep us posted as the letters start coming :)

I will probably know in November/early December :)
