A&P II: The Summer '05 Anatomy & Physiology Club

Ugh why did everything in my body have to go caput these last few months so that in the last week I have had to take a zillion meds...all of which are making me feel like CRAP when I need to study. The worst is I have to take 3X BCP's a day for 4 days..then 2X a day...for 4 days..then 1 a day for awhile to get my cycle to stop whacking out.. I am on day 3 of the 3X pills.well it is making me ILL. Beyond ILL....and I have to study :( .

As it is I had to skip lab last Thurs to see another DR and now I feel sooooooooooooo behind.....

As much as I like this class..now I REALLY WISH IT WAS AUGUST 9th!

Sorry to hear that you arent well; :icon_hug:I hope you feel better. Believe me August 9th will be here sooner than you think! Get better and keep up the good work!

Thanks....I am feeling a little better today. In one week I've seen 3 different Dr's ( regular internal, GYN, and Gastro) was put on high powered BCP to stop bleeding, Toprol for high BP, Zoloft for anxiety, Prevacid for GERD, and Cholecsytilamine ( sp?) for bile problems...UGH!

All I care about in the end run is feeling better though!

I was actually able to keep food down today and study...but the urinary system is really getting on my nerves. I *get* everything but it's just the memorizing how everything is reabsorbed/secreted ( osmosis, facilitated diffusion, cotransport, secondary active transport, etc etc etc.....it's driving me bonkers...and we have to know the methods for about 25 different things..and even Na+ changes it's method depending on where it is in the path AAAUUUGGGHHHHHH) LOL!

Boonersmom, I am glad you are feeling better :)

I am doing the Urinary system now and it is the last chapter we cover before the final on Wednesday, August 3rd. He starts the lecture on it tomorrow but told us to read it in advance and OMG! I spent the whole day "reading" it and I ended up just highlighting the whole chapter lol. This one will be challenging, I can see it coming.

Well, 8 more days for me :)

Glad your feeling better! Well its my last week and we have to cover the urinary system, immune system, and electrolytes by Wednesday becuz the final is Thursday. Talk about too much to do in too little time!! :uhoh3: I have a feeling Im not going to do well on the final due to the lack of time to study the info. But at this point a B will be more than great and Ill even settle for the C! Tonight is the kidney practical, which didnt look too complicated when I looked over it over the weekend. Thursday is the last day. 4 days and counting...... :rolleyes:

I made an 86 on my first test. Not great, but not bad. :rolleyes: I guess it's ok, saying there were 190 questions. :uhoh3:

I have to take the Unit 2 test on or before Friday, so hopefully I can manage to make around the same grade or better.

(I'll settle for a B, the campus/instruction where I am taking A&P 2 is awful!....LOVED my A&P 1 class, professor, and classmates!)

This is my last week in A & P II. The professor gave us our cumulative grade last night so that we would know where we stand before the final tomorrow night. Like almost every class I have taken since I started back to school two years ago...I have an 89.5% :uhoh21: ....Why do I always end up teetering between the A and the B... :uhoh3: It always comes down to the final for me.

So I will be hitting to the books tonight to prepare myself...

Hope everyone finishing up or just getting started has a great experience!

I have 10 classes left. lol (Yes, I'm counting down the days....taking the Fall off, kiddos back in school, house to myself......I can't wait!) :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

Its finally the end!! I skipped out on class tonight. Arent I bad? :rolleyes: But I rationalized my reason for not going: Why should I spend half an hour in traffic to get to class for a half hour (professor said hes keeping us for a 1/2 so we can study for the rest of the night) just to come back home? The final is tomorrow and I am so excited to be done. Good luck to all finishing up. Keep up th egood work to all still hitting the books. Ill drop in Friday to let yall know how I did.

My Urinary/Fluids/Metabolism test is tomorrow. Do I feel prepared? Nope. Truth is I am having a hard time conjering up the effort between feeling like crud and being burnt out. I have a 97 in the class so it won't kill me to screw up plus he drops the lowest test grade anyway.*sigh*.
