A&P II: The Summer '05 Anatomy & Physiology Club

Decided to go ahead and create a new thread...

I am taking A & P II at Valencia Community College in Orlando FL. We start May 12th...

I am an Online ASN Student at Deaconess College of Nursing in St Louis. I have taken a leave of absense for the summer so I will only be focusing on A & P. Guess I am not really a pre-nursing student, hope no one minds.

I am looking forward to sharing experiences!

I have to take my unit 2 test either tomorrow or Friday morning over Respiratory, Urinary & Fluid, Electrolyte, and Acid-Base Balance.

I'm not sure of my average, b/c I really don't know how they do things (190 questions, this test is 120.... :uhoh3:)

I made an 86 on the first test, but I have turned in 20 possible extra credit points. (I'm not sure how they do that either...do I get them all, or not????)

2 weeks, 1 day ....I hate going to this class. I am a friendly person, but I really feel out of place here. There is one girl I talk to occasionally, but it's just a weird situation. I'll be so glad to have it overwith. Not necessarily the class, but the environment. :(

My Urinary/Fluids/Metabolism test is tomorrow. Do I feel prepared? Nope. Truth is I am having a hard time conjering up the effort between feeling like crud and being burnt out. I have a 97 in the class so it won't kill me to screw up plus he drops the lowest test grade anyway.*sigh*.

Congrats!! :balloons: :smiley_aa How many classes do you have left? Thankfully tonight is my last class which will consist of the final exam I am NOT ready for! :chuckle Ive done it again. I took yesterday off from work and school so I could take my daughter to the lake and swim (it was like 100 degrees outside) and get my physical for NS (the doc didnt do nething I have to conjure up my shot records which have mysteriously disappeared :uhoh3: ) and last but certianly not least I was going to study. I even took my books to the lake and I was studying until Jazlynn (my daughter who is going to be 2yr on Wednesday) began to kick sand on my blanket and my books. :rotfl: Quite humorous!! So after that I forgot about the final. So its cram time once again. In 1/2 hr its out of work and off to school to cram three chapters into my head in less than three hours. :banghead: I will post my results tomorrow; is if they arent too bad :rolleyes:

How many classes do you have left?

I have 2 more lecture classes next Tues+Thurs and then the following Tues is my final. Next Tues is my last lab, however!

What are you doing in class?

Yesterday we did a Urinalysis with two different samples of fake urine. Most of the time we look at the very few models they offer. Tuesday we sat "in lab" and listened to the lab "babysitter" talk to us about the urinary system. (What are the lecture videos for?)

Today we aren't scheduled to do anything. So, I will sign in, listen if the babysitter decides to lecture for a while again, then leave early to take my Respiratory/Urinary exam.

I love A&P, but this campus is ruining it for me. :( I love North Lake! (Hopefully, I'll be returning in January for Nursing classes!!)

Class is finally over!!!!! I got my B for a final grade . It works for me. Good luck to everyone Im outta here.
