Thanks for starting this thread. Finishing up A&P I now (final next tuesday) and will start II May 23.
Can't believe I'm doing this over the summer. Used to hate summer school when I was a kid. But figured the sooner I finish my prereqs the sooner I can start applying to nursing schools.
My class is M-F 11-12:20. I won't be doing lab until the second session of summer. They only had one section the first session. Don't ask me why.
We're using Tortora too. Covering 17-the end for II. Though honestly, our lectures and notes are good enough that I hardly read the book. Though I'm thinking maybe I should, just to reinforce what I already know from lecture.
I just finished my third week of AP2...our first test is this upcoming tuesday...over three chapters, the CNS, the brain and the spinal cord! Yikes...my teacher is pretty hard, i only got a 6/10 on our first quiz..i did well in AP1 and i feel like I understand the materia but his questions are worded so that they trip me up....oh well im studying harder for the test so maybe it wont be so confusing!!! I start AP3 (my last quarter) this summer...
I'm here! :)
I'll be taking A&P II in the summer 2 session, which doesn't start until July 12th.
I'll be taking evening classes for labs only, the lecture is on video tapes.
We'll be using the Marieb lecture book, but a different lab manual. (Seems an instructor wrote his own lab book that the school uses.)
Good luck to everyone!
Same here...one of the professors at the college wrote our lab book.Cheri
I hope you used the same one for A&P 1! I went to a different college for A&P 1 than I will be going to for A&P II. (Same college district, but different school)
So, I have to get a different lab book for A&P II. Luckily, they are using the same lecture book, and the lab book that the instructor wrote is not that much money! lol

Decided to go ahead and create a new thread...
I am taking A & P II at Valencia Community College in Orlando FL. We start May 12th...
I am an Online ASN Student at Deaconess College of Nursing in St Louis. I have taken a leave of absense for the summer so I will only be focusing on A & P. Guess I am not really a pre-nursing student, hope no one minds.
I am looking forward to sharing experiences!
