A&P II and Microbiology...At The Same Time! (oh my)

Published

Hey everyone,

I'm sure this topic has been posted many, many times before, but I just wanted to see who is taking both A&P II and Microbiology next semester. Are you taking just these two classes, or do you plan to take others with them? How do you feel about taking two sciences at once, and what is your "plan of attack"? ;)

Next semester, I'm just taking A&P II/lab and Micro/lab. It's only 8 credits, but it's all I have left before I apply. I'm actually very excited about it, I love science :) I won't be working during school (except maybe on Saturday) and I don't have kids, so I plan to spend most of my time reading, studying, making outlines, staying organized, highlighting, and of course, going to class and taking good notes. I have A&P II on M/W with the same teacher I have now (who is awesome by the way), and Micro on T/Th.

It's hard to believe this semester is almost over. It's been great, but I'm tired and ready for a break!

:wideyed:

I took a&p 2, micro, organic chem, stats, and developmental psych all at the same time last semester and it wasn't too difficult. A&P 2 is rather easy and microbiology is too. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Thanks everyone! Good luck to you all! :)

I'm taking A&P2 and Micro both with labs, Nutrition and an English class next semester. 2 kids at home as well.

It must be the lab time but our A&P 1 class was 5.5. hours. A&P2 and Micro are the same length.

I took Statistics, Human Growth, and Ethics this semester. It took a lot of work but I'm pulling high A's. I'm confident I can do the same next semester.

I took A&P2 and micro (along with 2 other classes) last semester. It's a lot to handle at once, but not as hard as the actual nursing program itself, in my opinion. It's a good trial run to get a very small idea of the time and commitment required in the nursing program.

in my school you can't even take micro until you take a&P2 which is really stupid. I guess they think they are a 4 year college!! I am able to take both classes because I have taken micro in the past. I took human bio and A&P1 together this semester and I think it really helped me in A&P because bio was so much easier. I didn't have to take human bio but Im glad I did!

We are in the same boat! I only have 8 hours left... I plan on taking A&P2 with lab and Micro Spring 2014, and then I'm done!

Fall 2013 I took both A&P1 with lab, and Chem1152 with lab. I only took these 8 hours, and it is totally doable! However, I had to cut down on my work hours. I went from Full-time to part-time work. It is really time consuming, but you can def do it!

Honestly, I give major props to students that work full-time and can take two science classes at the same time. & then when you throw in kids.. I mean.. you guys are awesome!

Right? That's what I'm thinking! I'm taking A&P1 and micro next term, both with labs. I'm going into it knowing that it's going to be hard, but if I can't handle two difficult classes at the same time, I better get to finding a different major, because nursing school isn't going to be any easier.

Personally, I am super excited! I love science, and I've been looking forward to these classes forever!

Good luck to everyone!
